Logan Gilbert had 33 starts, a 3.23 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP in 208 innings and had NINE wins but our offense doesn't get enough credit. Just STFU Jerry.
Hmm...well we do gotta give them credit - they can kill a rally and make any bad pitcher look like Cy Young on any given day - that IS saying something special!!!

Lost Cade Marlowe, but at least now we have George Polanco and still get to see Mitch Haniger's turnaround.
Yeah, Mitchie Haniger will turn it around. Define "it" for us. Actually it's not out of the realm of possibility but if anybody is holding their breath, they may pass out.

As for Cade Marlowe, he could pass through waivers and be reassigned to AAA with the Rainiers.
Or, Zach DeLoach was DFA'd by the White Sox today. A year ago to the day,
February 3, 2024: Traded by the Seattle Mariners with Prelander Berroa and future considerations to the Chicago White Sox for Gregory Santos.
Sign him back (or a trade or cash). DeLoach is a year younger than Marlowe. They both bat/throw: L/R. Same size. Same LF/RF good fielding outfielders. Both steal a few bases. I think DeLoach has just a bit more upside.
Marlowe AAA OPS: 2023 was .781, 2024 was .767.
DeLoach AAA OPS: 2023 was .868, 2024 was .785.

See if they can be brought back (together, again). Spencer Packard, also L/R, is a notch below those two and much less speed.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Good Lord that JD press conference was a train wreck.

Granted the ownership is so tight they can form pearls with their buttholes....time and pressure.

But Jerry imho is no longer an effective GM. Time to cut ties!

We can't make the playoffs with him anymore which means we can't compete for a title.

So what the HELL are we doing????

WHO is going to pay for streaming to watch this crap?

Even though I think he's about done - I'd even take a trade for Arenado at this point - sounds like he can almost be had for peanuts now as the club may not want to take him into spring training.

I wouldn't take him unless St. Louis paid 90% of the money left on his contract.

Alonso re-signs with the Mets. 2 years, $54 million.

Oh how much more fun it would be to have him at 1B for $27M than paying Garver and Haniger nearly $30M to waste space.

That's an odd deal, you're not convincing me there wasn't clubs that would have topped that, it's really team friendly. Cohen gets a deal, interesting he would hold out for a deal

Blue Jays supposedly were in talks with Alonso, they wouldn't give him a third year? If you're a blue Jays fan you gotta be scratching your head
According to SNY's Andy Martino, talks between the Blue Jays and Alonso are "advancing," though nothing is imminent yet. Martino's report follows one from MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, who said earlier on Thursday that the Blue Jays are "still working hard [and] trying for" Alonso. Later on Thursday, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reported that discussions between Toronto and Alonso's camp are "not gaining momentum."

It is 30M with an opt out of 24M. It looks to be a 1 year with a high AAV. I wish we had a GM with balls enough to actually get at least 1 major upgrade. This is a clown car organization.

The updated FanGraphs WAR projections now have the Mariners fifth in the American League, narrowly ahead of other teams on the [projected] postseason bubble:
