Burger would have been a marginal upgrade over Ty France but it isn't clear to me that he would be a better option than Solano or Solano/Raley at 1B.

Those FIVE combined for -0.1 fWAR last season. We don't have a DH.

Well hopefully Young can win the 2B job out of ST or by May so at least that will give something fun to watch there this year. No interest in seeing Moore occasionally running into a ball but looking overmatched 90% of the time.

Dylan Moore had a higher OPS than:

Jorge Polanco
JP Crawford
Ty France
Mitch Garver
Mitch Haniger

Better than basically everyone besides our 5 best.

He takes a lot of heat for some reason, but he's far from our problem imo.

It's the 201 BA, it's like big boobs, no matter how many times we are told BA isn't important we just can't help focusing on it.

Burger was good for .5 bWAR or 1.4 fWAR. I don't see that as making any real difference other than adding another extremely limited player to the roster.

It is more the point that we chose to give Polanco millions than a couple Lottery ticket prospects for Burger.
