Happy Pitchers and Catchers report day Spring Training thread
Re: Happy Pitchers and Catchers report day Spring Training thread
I mean would he rather struggle hitting in Detroit because of a little more long term money than destroy baseball at Fenway?? I can't imagine caring about money so much at that point giving his entire family for the next 5 generations are all set for life.

That he exercises the opt-out wouldn't necessarily mean he doesn't continue to play in Boston. I think if he puts up a big season boras will be thinking about leveraging it into a long term deal.

Good piece by Stecker on Randy and his down year. He had it as age 29 so is it a fluke or the beginning of early regression? I think the OF needs to have a combined .800 OPS for us to have a chance at the division.

Hilarious expressions.
"Would you DH?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I play 3rd."
The rest of the dialogue should have this:
"In your 8 years in MLB with Boston, do you realize you led the A.L. 7 of those 8 years in ERRORS by a 3rd baseman?" LOL
Having nothing to do with that, but in 1990, as a 27 year old, Edgar led the A.L. with 27 errors while playing 3B for the Mariners.
Kyle Seager led the league in 2016 when 28 y.o.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

The Red Sox handled this poorly. It's kind of hard to believe.rockycola wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 4:29 amHilarious expressions.

Who is going to play 3rd if Bregman is going to play second? Casas is at first so Devers can't even do that. Bizarre.
