My God man...
People actually think Geno Smith is some amazing QB.
The amount of crying I'm seeing on Twitter is INSANE.
People acting like there will never be a good QB in the NFL again. It's insane.

Candotta seems to think they are considering Arron Rogers, that be pretty cool, except for the line

So pay the 35 year old $40 million a year to throw tantrums on the sideline while winning a max 9 games?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:42 amHow long did it take the Bears to land one, how about the JetsSeattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:10 amMy God man...

The franchise was going nowhere with Geno.
Nothing is a guarantee... except for being mediocre with him at QB.

Looking at Jets top ten QB list, Namath is number one of course, he's the NFL's first to pass for more than 4,000 yards. He's also the Jets only QB to ever do it, wow. Who's number two on the list of great Jets QBs, Ken O'Brien.

I have no idea what the market for Fields is. He's currently not under a contract. If he was a no brainer, he wouldPharmabro wrote: ↑Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:00 amI think Justin Fields may be my play. Sign him for 5 to 20 million. Fields played "OK" for a defensive minded HC in Pitt. But he was benched for the ghost of Russ.
We do have 13 million in dead cap for the Geno deal. I have a huge variance in value for Fields because if he was willing to sign a non-guaranteed deal you could get creative. ST/LT, 1 year vs multiple, etc, etc.
have been the Steelers QB last year. He is a big guy. 6'3" 227. He can run. I had not realized he is entering his 5th
year in the NFL. I'm only interested if the idea is he's going to be a running the ball a lot. Sort of the Jalen Hurts
model for a QB. I think the Seahawks would be better off with this sort of QB approach than they would be with
a strictly drop back passer like Darnold. It worked for the young Russell Wilson Seahawks.

Wow, this prediction is from when Rogers got cut, well something dramatic just happened. That would seem like a hell of a prediction if it happens

https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/sea ... 7fd897d382"Once the Jets cut Rodgers, don't expect a major scrum to land his services. The Giants have more appeal than the Raiders and other openings, such as the Titans and Browns. The Seahawks are ideal, but something dramatic must happen there with Geno Smith for that to become a reality," Iyer wrote
