Re: Seahawks' Free Agent Tracker
I didn't think this was about JS looking smart, it was about his willingness to take risks this off season in free agency. It could turn out with him looking stupid

Maybe I am just not following you, but here is how I see the timeline.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 5:24 pmI didn't think this was about JS looking smart, it was about his willingness to take risks this off season in free agency. It could turn out with him looking stupid
1. You post an article mentioning that JS is changing
2. I point out it's not a change because he is adding players everywhere but a position of need, OL. I point out that he has always done this, adds scraps to the O Line, makes excuses about coaching, fires coaches, and we end up in the same place.
3. You tell me it's not about that, he is now signing FAs and taking risks.
4. I point out he has always added players, just not good O Lineman. Point out the players he has added.
5. You point again to FAs.
6. I point out the FAs we have signed.
7. You go back to taking risks.
I have no fucking clue what you are arguing anymore Donn.
Bottom line, JS has NOT done one fucking thing to fix this O Line besides fire coaches and make excuses for why the guys he already had sucked. Wash, rinse, repeat. He's not changing, and if you think the guys he just signed are risks? I can't help you.

Not arguing anything, just pointing out that js has struck his neck out by going with some risky FA signings this off season. I think it's considered out of the ordinary for him

Re: Seahawks' Free Agent Tracker
Darnold’s contract is team friendly. Lawrence is a DL guy. MM is a lot like Pete. And Kupp is a local guy who is a fan favorite and put up DK like numbers last year and was an All Pro not that long ago.
We need O Line, we have no O Line, so we fired the coach’s and mad those moves so guys like you would talk about them and dumbshits would write articles about it.
This is the same shit but different year,

Well if he signed them just to give people something to talk about then they are bound to fail.
Terms of the Oline, he needs a guard and he's been striking out finding a FA. I thought it was going to be Jenkins but then nothing happened. See what he comes up with. I don't think it's something the draft can solve
Here the speculation is Brandon Scherff, though his run blocking isn't that great and that's what they are supposed to be focused on now

Personnel decisions seem about the same since Pete left. I think it's been mostly JS all along.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 5:15 pmI think John has gotten something of a free pass after 2013, but don't forget Pete had final word on roster moves including draft picks, although we don't know how much of an impact he had on those decisions. And John didn't fire Pete, Jody did.
I'm not saying JS slit Pete's throat, but he assured Jody he could find a new HC and right the ship.
JS is fucking stupid at this point not to concentrate on the O-line. He says he knows everyone is talking
about it, but he keeps gaslighting everyone. If he wasn't going make the O-line the priority, he should have
never picked up Darnold, who is a pocket passer and not mobile. Even the SB team didn't have that great an
O-line, but RW being mobile opened up the run game anyway. No fucks by JS. He's on thin ice.

Jenkins I can understand because of the injuries.
But Becton to the Chargers at 2 years for $20M was totally doable by this franchise and kind of pisses me off.
He is one big dude that could filled our interior offense nicely.
John Schneider is one stubborn individual.

Re: Seahawks' Free Agent Tracker
Fries wanted more years. John balked. Why? The cap goes up so much every year, these guys are always asking for more $ because the contract is no longer market value. Who besides John cares? If you really wanted him, and the contract is the same, just more years? He decided it was just the O Line, so fuck it.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 9:04 pmTerms of the Oline, he needs a guard and he's been striking out finding a FA. Apparently John wanted Fries to undergo a physical before offering him a longer contract.
