Cal Raleigh extension
Re: Cal Raleigh extension
As much as I hate Dipoto and Stanton. This is freaking good news. Got to give them props to getting this done.

Golly, Stanton and dipoto in fact spending money and Cal likes it here. That they have locked up their second young player probably makes them pretty unique

Stop with the 3 yr old child banter….. who gives two shits what you thinkVogelbomb wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 7:56 pmCame here just to see if bpj was willing to show his face. Im telling you guys, this is where the money is going -- to the core. It's a philosophy that our owner has and whether you like it or not, you have to give credit for him sticking to it and putting in the effort to maintain the players you develop
And to all those who thought they could speak for Cal, like they know Cal's heart, yeah go kick rocks. You don't know shit

It will be interesting to see what happens with FordMesully11 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:53 pmI wonder how much his relationship with Dan Wilson played into his decision to sign?
It seems like a home team discount and it frees the team to finally make a decision on Harry Ford, change of position or trade him?
At least this team finally wisely invested in a worthwhile position player, give them credit where credit is due
Re: Cal Raleigh extension
He'll be traded in a few years to reduce payroll. The Yankees and Dodgers will be thrilled!

Except you're wasting his value, better to trade him

That's where the money's going over the next six years....Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 7:56 pmCame here just to see if bpj was willing to show his face. Their payroll is still lower THIS YEAR than it was in 2018.
They have like $50M committed six years from now, meanwhile they're a bubble team in 2025 when it matters. It'll probably be a mediocre team around Cal six years from now too.
Acting like this is some big investment is just pathetic Mariner-Dipoto superfan nonsense.
They made a good signing. They've still pocketed all the payroll they've cut back since 2018 while dopes keep making excuses for them and waiting for bums like Jarred Kelenic to turn the corner.

I think someone kidnapped Stanton and threw him into a locked janitors closet.
The Mariners org did 3 good things this week. Ate Hanigers contract and cut him, making root sports streaming service available for $20 a month, resigning Cal.
I’m glad Cal ditched Bora$$ as an agent. This deal doesn’t happen with Bora$$ in the picture.
