That said... Nearly everywhere I go, whatever I watch, music I hear... Politics I disagree with are injected into every facet of life.

Completely agree about the politics. It would be a bit dull if we inject insults during a game based on who you vote for. The game thread is perhaps the only refuge where everyone is pulling for the same team.
