What's shortly to you, they will be given the opportunity to suck for awhile
Re: GT 3/31: IT'S STILL EARLY™ II
If only we had Kirby vs Hancock. We have 4 bats going well JoRge, Randy, Raley, and Rodriguez. RRRRRR mate.
8 hits 3 HR 2 doubles, 1 triple, and 6 walks normally would have a W along with it.

Its weird, Julio had a nice spring, they gave him plenty of at bats to get him off to a good start, the word was he looked great. And here he is off to another slow start. you guys should work on finding the secret to getting a player off to a good start, you'd get rich
Buster Olney

. he looks great. And that's what I'm hearing from evaluators out there, that they really feel like that his swing is more repeatable, without as much movement, and with it being under control. It feels like he's in a better position to get off to a better start at the beginning of the year, and that's going to be incredibly important

Wilson on jrod, pretty typical manager comment. But that's the sort of thing he's going to be into. He's not going to be looking at OPS as much as hitting to the opposite field
You know, I was excited to see that hit to right field the other night. He's been using the entire field all spring training, and that's where he really swings the bat well, when he's thinking that way. And that's really what I think his mindset is when he gets in the box. So, I think it was great to see that, and hopefully that's the beginning of something

We have the pitching match advantage April 1st but I think they will on the 2nd.

Speaking of spring training, this is a Quora post, I agree with it. I hadn't thought in terms of players having off season jobs. Players these days are focused on baseball the entire year. Spring training is an anachronism, it survives because the clubs make money off of it
Spring Training itself needs to go away. It’s a holdover from back when most baseball players had off-season jobs as insurance salesmen or bartenders. Teams needed a month to get them back in shape. Now that no baseball players need an off-season job, they stay in shape on their own. Two weeks is more than enough now to familiarize players with their teammates and go through pick-off drills and stuff. Also, spring training games are a total waste.
Two weeks of drills and a couple of exhibition games are more than enough for today’s baseball players.

So judge is still using a traditional bat, you would need to cross reference the Yankees offense to who's using the new torpedo bats
That's interesting, bats engineered for individual players in terms of how they hit

“I think that’s probably the next progression in hitting -- finding out where you hit the ball in the sweet spot, putting more mass there, without changing too many things,” Asche said.

He has a .910 OPS. I shall take it.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 6:43 amIts weird, Julio had a nice spring, they gave him plenty of at bats to get him off to a good start, the word was he looked great. Good point, there's a lot of complaining, and not just here at the forum, it doesn't seem to be considered a very good start but that does seem to be the batting average trap. He's also running a 163 ops+. Okay, no more flipping shit at jrod

I was in great shape in my 20s while working a full time job and so are a lot of people so...I can see it in terms of not having access to baseball facilities though.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 7:10 amSpeaking of spring training, this is a Quora post, I agree with it.
