The big 3 all going to start in Everett again. I knew Colt would be there, I thought Laz might start in Arkansas. I am shocked Arroyo didn't.
color me shocked as well. i really thought they'd move up to AA when i saw Harry, Cole and Ben were sent to Tacoma.
Just guessing, but it seems likely they want those guys all playing together. But I would guess that Arroyo could be in line for an early promotion.

Diaz is worse than Hancock. Hancock gave up a ton of fairly fluky, soft-contact knocks. Not sure why he had to be sent down.

Just two arms were taxed: Vargas and Bazardo. You go into Tuesday with Logan Gilbert capable of throwing 7 innings if you let the guy. And you still have four pen arms who had at least one day of rest.

Surprised they did that with the interest they have of using the day off as extra rest for their starters. So you plan on a pen day? Brutal
There are a couple of off days coming soon (Thursday, and Thursday so I am thinking they just pitch 1-4 the next 2 times through so you dont have the need. I think they were consider skipping him anyway.

In AAA:
The top 4 bats are
Locklear 1.192 OPS
Rivas 1.073
Taylor .891
Ford .871

Which is all good news as the top 3 spent at least some time with the big club last year so should be considered depth. Ford is one of our top 10's and could reestablish some value with a nice #'s year.

Shenton has a .706 OPS
Ben Williamson .596
Young .396

Arms
Logan Evans 2.45 ERA
Caston 0 ERA
Sao 0 ERA
Lus Castillo 1.59
Lawrence 1.59
BP
Kitchen 0 ERA
Legumina 0 ERA
Taylor 27ERA
Fujinami 4.5 ERA

Just some things to keep an eye on. It is still super early, but I just wanted to give an early update on the upper minor's numbers so far.

Can't wait for tomorrow. We get a nice day game at the MLB level and then the rest of the minors start up.

Everett through at least the first 6 weeks is going to be a really fun watch for us. I think in 6-8 weeks you could see guys start to get promoted if they are dominating the level which would obviously move the interest level to ARK. So North WA residents, get out to Everett now

And then I'm going to watching Modesto every night. I'm so pumped for Felnin Celesten. I think he can be our Jackson Merrill, Kristian Campbell stud next season taking over for JP. Just fucking play 110 games this year. I'm begging for a full year for him. He has all the tools man

I seriously see him jumping every SS we have to take JPs job next spring. Calling it.

And keep an eye on Arroyo, too. If he duplicates last season with the majority of his year at AA, he could break camp with Ms next year, too, as 3b, move Polo to 2b again (if he finishes strong)

Polanco needs 450 PAs or he won't be back. I will be shocked if he gets there. Thank God. So a 19 yo with 144 pro PAs is going to be our starting SS next season? lol I do agree he is 10 more exciting the Emerson who everyone is in love with for some reason.

This happens...............NEVER!

Luis Castillo Started the game yesterday, pitched 7 strong innings and got the win.

He feels so strong and invincible, he has been announced as the starter tomorrow, Friday, in San Francisco! Back-to-Back games!

Seattle Sports
Of the many oddities that happen throughout a baseball season, the Seattle Mariners may have stumbled upon a new one just a week into the 2025 campaign.

The Seattle Mariners whose stocks are rising and falling after opening week

The Mariners are expected promote right-hander Luis F. Castillo from Triple-A Tacoma to make a spot start Friday against the San Francisco Giants, Seattle Sports’ Mariners insider Shannon Drayer reported Thursday afternoon.

That means Seattle would have a player named Luis Castillo make the start in consecutive games. Luis M. Castillo (or “La Piedra”) picked up the win on the mound in Wednesday’s series finale against the Detroit Tigers.

Did anyone see that coming?
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

That's called The Mariners trying to make news out of nothing..... or at least trying to make good news (because the offense sucks) out of nothing.
