Kelenic by no means is a great hitter... and I think some of that has to do w. the M's ruining him... but in 2023 he had reverse splits. He hit for a .774 OPS vs lefties vs a .738 OPS vs righties. God knows why that year he could magically hit lefties... perhaps it wasn't limiting him? I don't really know.
Baseball is so mental. You get off to a good start and things roll. He was confident that year. He's lost that

A lot of guys hit in T-town and it did not mean much. Rivas was the hottest hitter down there and he was not horrible last year but he is at a 59 OPS+ here.

JP was a huge POS just a week ago but now he has a .391 OBP fueled 106 OPS+ and has a couple of doubles to start pushing up the slug.

LOL are you a big Tellez/Solano fan???

Tellez has a .376 OPS. Even during his bad MLB start locklear but up a .536 OPS. Guessing he learned something and could put up about a .700 OPS which is almost double Shrek's pathetic performance.

So I guess we can never promote prospects from Tacoma then. Ford and Young with there 600s OPS should quit baseball I guess.

It's been 3 weeks. I'm with everyone else on these guys: they suck, the writing is on the wall. But honestly, when has a team ever cut bait on a player after 40 plate appearances? That's what they have. Solano has 27. The guy has a track record. Hopefully he gets going soon.

I would expect Tellez dfa to come around June and Locklear recalled

Tommy La Stella got 12 games and 24 plate appearances. He had a .530 OPS and was worth only -0.1 bWAR.

He would be a revelation between Tellez and Solano.

And they were right to cut him.
