The sample size is still way too small to extrapolate on the likelihood of future matchup results. But when several of the team's worst hitters are getting hits over the same few games that probably says more about the pitching they were facing than it does about what we should expect from them going forward. I think the Mariners are a .500 team (without Kirby) and they won't continue playing like this. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Thanks for the input Debbie. I hope Mr. Downer is doing well and you two had a nice Easter but guessing all the Easter eggs you found were rotten. lolSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:10 amThe sample size is still way too small to extrapolate on the likelihood of future matchup results. Best record in baseball over the last 10 games at 8-2.
It doesn't really seem like they've been playing over their heads or getting lucky.
As usual Dipoto's dumpster finds are looking like rubbish, but at least the guys that aren't barrel scrapers are hanging in there for the most part.
There's a lot of other teams struggling for offense so far.
Texas has 67 runs scored so far to the Mariners 98, for example.

I'm glad the M's have won a bit but eek... everyone knows they lack the talent to be a consistent winner.
I do hope he and I are wrong.

A pessimist will always see what he chooses to see.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:10 amThe sample size is still way too small to extrapolate on the likelihood of future matchup results. The video:seth8734 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 4:43 pmYea will make him look really really good!!!!
Kelenic already starting his stupid shit got called out not running out a double and getting called out!!!! Guy is just bad. Too much hype too cocky and no reason to be. He will be out of baseball soon unless he finds away to be a team player and can hit. Shocking he is still on a major league roster!!

Through the eyes of an optimist, a realist is a pessimist. An actual pessimist would say this team will collapse soon and probably lose 90+ games, and Julio will be out of baseball in a couple years, and Kirby won't be 100% at any point this season, and Cal will fall to earth soon, etc etc.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 4:12 pmA pessimist will always see what he chooses to see.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:10 amThe sample size is still way too small to extrapolate on the likelihood of future matchup results. Re: Luis vs Lucas LL Cool vs Jays GT 4/20
To be fair, however, i am given to occasional bouts of pessimism and at various points this season i will probably say all of those things.
