I always liked how the Mariners were the team playing the Angels in The Naked Gun.
It's a funny joke in itself that the Queen of England would be in attendance for a game between these two crappy teams.

Found it funny that after Leslie Nielsen died, ESPN published an obituary for "Enrico Pallazzo," writing,
"A true Renaissance man, Enrico Pallazzo umpired the game after performing the national anthem... Pallazzo was the first - and only - umpire to eject another umpire from a major league game. He also is believed to be the first - and only - umpire to use an upright vacuum cleaner to tidy up home plate."
https://www.espn.co.uk/espn/page2/story ... o_pallazzo
And the Queen, apparently she once went to an A's vs Orioles game. Very weird.

Is it wrong to say that I would rather we had Logan Evans starting the game today over Luis Castillo? I don't think Castillo is cooked, but this refusal to make some sort of adjustment vs. the league is getting really old. I'm honestly just kind of tired of it.

Probably led to her early demise. lol

I am far from the biggest Castillo fan, but he's been pretty good this year. He does tend to feast on the bad offenses and struggle against the good ones, but I'm more worried every time Miller starts right now.GL_Storm wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 7:34 pmIs it wrong to say that I would rather we had Logan Evans starting the game today over Luis Castillo? Gotta win this game and series!!!! Cheaters are winning can't have them take over again!!!!
Disgusting disgusting 1st 3 abs to start the game. Even though that was a first pitch ball to Julio!!!
Yay Paddock throwing more warm up pitches then actual game pitches. Really making him work. 1 pitch through 2 out of the zone. We'll according to the ump!!!

It's one thing that Mariner ownership thought that Jorge Polanco was a better option at third than Alex Bregman, but that they also thought that Rowdy Tellez was a better option at first than Pete Alonso is mind-boggling. We would have a three- or four-game lead right now if we'd signed Alonso, which would have been incredibly easy for them.
