Damn, Julio 4 Ks, I wish we could trade him because he's just becoming worse and worse of a hitter.
The biggest moment that killed us tonight was when Lugo threw ball 4 to Canzone WAY above the strike zone and somehow he swung. Instead of bases loaded and nobody out...you know what, we'd have fucked it up anyway so never mind.
The Royals really didn't deserve to win tonight. Somebody should have snuck into their clubhouse and set their clothes on fire.

10 hits and 0 for 11 with RISP. Julio Rodriguez just plain sucks. All we needed there in the 9th inning was a fly ball or a bloop over the infield to tie or win the game. Cal sucked tonight too, but this awful play with Julio has been going on way too long.

Difference in star players vs average players. Bobby Witt, Jr came through with a big hit and a key slide (I still say he was out although Mariners couldn't challenge) whereas Julio came up 3x in big spots and completely manured the bed.

Better move Julio up in the lineup. That dude has zero business hitting where he is, in a lineup that wasn’t dogshit. I would still move him down, even as bad as this lineup is. He either doesn’t give a shit, and then? Fuck him. Or he is putting the weight of the world on his shoulders, and moving him to 9 might ease that some.
I just think he is a mental midget that will never come remotely close to the potential we were all promised he possessed. That’s never happened here before right? All these studs that were can’t miss and too good to trade. Remind me when Ackley, Kelenic, Meche,Pineiro, Clement and Zunino are getting measured for their busts for Canton.

We all know Jerry isn't going to give up his fair haired boy. Julio needs to spend the summer at driveline developing a solid base as he bounces all over off balance.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 2:28 pmBetter move Julio up in the lineup. I would take prime Zunino over Julio at this point. At least Zunino hit HR's. As for the rest of them, yes major disappointments especially Ackley and Kelenic. I think Kelenic genuinely cared about his performance. I am not getting that vibe from Julio. After striking out 3x I thought that 9th inning AB Julio at least puts the ball in play. Shame on me for that optimism.AZOldDawg wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 2:35 pmWe all know Jerry isn't going to give up his fair haired boy. I am just so sick of inept hitting from Julio and him acting like he doesn't give a ****.
