Munoz again, chokes up another one. I don't trust him, man. He's not big time. He's not mentally tough
Nope. He's a putz. I don't want him closing game 7 in a world series. That's for sure.
O hell no. That was so so ugly to watch wow

At least we know tomorrow is a loss for sure. Skubal is gonna sleep well tonight or maybe not being top excited. Lefty lineup tomorrow is gonna look worse then this game was

Now six blown saves and that doesn’t even count some of his other batting practice performances either

1st team since 77 to have a 5 run lead and no hitter through 7 and blow it. Team keeps making bad history

This team needs to hire that shrink motivational guy from The Natural. I've never seen so many head cases on one team that wilt under pressure again and again and again.

By all accounts, Dan Wilson is a nice as they come. And I was a fan of his during his playing days.

That said, for 2 reasons, he gets a big part of the blame for this one, along with the bullpen, and here's why:

1). Woo comes out for the 8th with a no-hitter and around 90 pitches thrown. Brash should have already been warming up to start the inning given Woo's pitch count, but NO! So what happens? Woo gives up a leadoff single. At that point, his pitch count is well into the 90's. He's gassed, and the no-hitter is gone. An already warmed-up Brash should have been coming in at that time. But Dan decides to keep Woo out there and finally decides he should get a reliever warming up?? And low and behold, the next batter singles, putting runners at 1st and 3rd and nobody out. At that point, everyone knows Woo is gassed. But since they didn't have anyone warming up to start the inning, they need a gassed Woo to face another hitter to give Brash more time to get ready. That batter hits a sacrifice fly and they finally come out and get Woo. Was Brash even ready at that point? Is that why he served up the HR ball to Stanton?
Bottom line, after the leadoff single, Woo should have been pulled. Everyone knows that. He was done. But for some unknown reason, Wilson didn't have anyone warming up to start the inning. Terrible in-game managing.

2). This one was even more shocking and perplexing. Bottom of the 10th inning of a tie game. One out, winning run on 2nd. Next two scheduled batters are Goldschmidt and Grisham. If Speier can retire both those hitters, Judge is left on deck to lead off the next inning. But what does Dan do? He decides to INTENTIONALLY walk Goldschmidt to set up a double play, and almost guarantees Judge, the best hitter in the league, will be coming up with the game on the line. I mean honestly, who other than Dan Wilson would do that? That may be one of the dumbest managerial decisions I've ever seen in all my years watching baseball.

Wilson is in over his head. He has no clue what he's doing. But because he's a yes man and lapdog for Dipoto and Stanton, his job is probably safe. It's the reason he got the job in the first place, without even a managerial search.

Why does it have to be so hard to be a fan of this team? Am I in hell?
