Players with 30 HR by June 21st.
Griffey 1994 - 30
McGwire 1998 - 33
Sosa 1998 - 30
Bonds 2001 - 38
Gonzalez 2001 - 31
Raleigh 2025 - 30

So basically 4 Juicers and 2 Mariners.
yeah, its interesting the names that aren't on there, no babe ruth, roger marris or mickey mantle. Cal is the fastest switch hitter to 30
It is due to baseball starting the season later. In 1927, the year Babe hit 60, June 21 was the Yankees 58th game. Today is the M's 76th. In 1956, the Mick had played in only 60 games. Not taking anything away from Cal, but perhaps one should consider the number of games when matching up throughout baseball history.
Your not wrong about the calendar but Cal is still ahead of those guys.

Cal has 32 HR through 77 games played
The year that Babe hit 60 he had 26 Home runs through the Yankees 77th game played. in 1956 through the Yankees 77th game Mickey had 30 HR. Maris had 31 after the Yankees 77th game in 1961 and Mantle had 29.
Griffey had 29 through 77 games 3 times. 1994, 1997 and 1998. MCGwire had 35 through 77 games in 1998. Sosa had 31 that same year. Bonds was at 39 through 77 games in 2001 and Gonzalez was at 32.

Cal has 54 HR over the last calendar year. And that's in only 155 games played.

Cal is on fire! We are lucky to have this humble hardworking player plying for our team.
A power switch hitting catcher with speed locked up to a long term deal, Would selfishly like to see him swipe 20 bags this year

In the last 10 games Cal is 6 for 36 with 6 HRs. Maybe he's trying too hard to hit it out.

He's being pretty successful at it, that's a 100 home run pace. Maybe have ichiro talk to him?

To me it's somewhat concerning and at the very least odd. Even with the intentional walks his on-base in those games is .268 and his slugging only slightly higher than when he was hitting singles and doubles as well as HRs.
