Interesting, how Ian Miller’s never had a shot up here, could he be worse than Mallex?
He has had equivalent of approx. 2 AAA seasons. He's just not as much of an investment as Smith at this point.
I think M's could have gotten a better deal for Zunino. I understood that it was time for Mike to move on but what other deals were out there, I wonder?
Ian deserves a chance.
JD traded twice for Mallex, must know something secret.

Chasen Bradford, Rainiers, is making his 2nd relief appearance as he's on the recovery road from the I.L.
He just gave up a bomb to Kevin Cron, Cron's 2nd of the game. He has 17 home runs and 47 RBI's for Reno this year. Arizona will most likely call him up one day soon.
Kron looks like a great prospect, originally drafted by Seattle.

CJ’s brother.

I doubt JD wants to run the risk of having Z’s draft pick showing up Mallex, they’ll just let Miller go as a Rule 5 pick, maybe.

White hitting .233 with a sub 700 ops and Lewis at 225 with barely a 700 OPS. What a freakin waste of a couple picks. At this point you can no longer blame the injury, Lewis just can't hit at this level.

In the Arkansas game, new guy Ahmed, after striking out his first two ab's, ended up 2-4 with a single, double and an rbi.

Watch out Kyle Seager.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

You and I both said this last season and then he had that great Spring. UK Mariner fan really likes him and obviously I am holding thumbs for Lewis but he is starting to look a bust.

At the time of this post Everett short season Aquasox open the season in 20 days. Not a lot I can say because they have 5 pitchers a catcher and 1 outfielder and I have heard of none of the guys.

WV Power
Kelenic CF has a .921 OPS and 7 steals in 45 games.
JRod has only 9 games and a .891 OPS but has posted video of hitting of the tea, box steps and pool swing rehab so he should be back soon.
Logan Gilbert sub 2 ERA in 4 starts was promoted.

MOdesto A+
Joe Rizzo is finally having a good season .327 average but only .818 OPS Leads team
Liberato LF has a .810 OPS
Manny Pazos has a .795 OPS as a catcher and Cal Raleigh also has over a .700 OPS

Pitchers
LJay Newsome in 10 Cal League starts he is allowing less than 1 BB/9 and has a 12.65K/9 rate 2.01 ERA wow this guy did not have these kind of stats last year. Last year was only 8K/9 but even lower .84 BB/9.
Tui has a 1.5 ERA as he work his way back to Seattle
Logan Gilbert has a 1.65 ERA in 3 starts.
Gerson Bautista is healthy and has 3.6 ERA in 5 games back so far.9Ks and 4 BB in 5 innings good and bad there.

AA Arkansas Travelers
CF Jake Fraley has a .899 OPS to lead the team he is 24 and has 11 steals in 42 games.
DTW has dropped off a bit he can play CF has 9 steals in 39 games and has a .807 OPS.
White and Lewis have between .650 and .700 OPS and that is a disappointment.
Pitchers
Dunn has a 3.38 ERA 12.2 K/9 2.4 BB/9 solid start
Zac Grotz has 4 starts in 11 apps and has a sub 1 ERA and 13K/9 and a .14 BB/9!
Welcome Back Andrew Moore 6 shut out innings 1st time back

BP parts
Warren, and Altavilla have Sub 2 ERAs and Darin Gillies has a 2.44ERA

AAA Tacoma
Austin I wish we drafted his brother AAron Nola C has an amazing year going at catcher 1.039 OPS in 39 games.
2B Tim Lopes hasa .885 OPS and 8 SB
SS JP Crawford had a .877 OPS while down there
Tacoma has a bunch of guys over .800 OPS LOng, Miller, BB, Mallex, even Negron but we know Negron is not a hitter so it puts a little damper on the range but Negron 33 has seen MLB pitching so not a prospect more of playing years over the competition so don't completely wash away the production of the prospects.

Pitching
Justice Sheffield may be on to something I was awfully down on him after a few starts and he had more walks than IP. 5/22 7IP 1 run 1 BB,previous 3 5,5.1,5.2 innings and 3,2,3 in BB. The ERA is down to 3.89
BP several guys doing well some not so much
The rest of the rotation seem to be injury insurance vets for the most part other than
Swanson 2 starts 3.38 ERA

I thought I would do a quick round up of all the minors league affiliates.

On Ljay Newsome:

I found a scouting report on him from last year 2 games 1st game had him 85-89 with the FB the next game saw 91 a couple times in the 6th inning, He has a good feel for CU to both LH&RH Batters. Cutter and CB completed this scouts pitching profile.
