Two of those members of the new bunch were offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and offensive line coach Scott Huff, who set to overhaul the offensive line, a group that had struggled for much of the past decade under Carroll.

To that end, during the 2024 offseason the Seahawks signed free agent Laken Tomlinson, then drafted Christian Haynes, Sataoa Laumea and Michael Jerrell, before adding Connor Williams during training camp.

None of those five is on the 2025 initial 53-man roster Seattle announced Tuesday afternoon.

Haynes was placed on IR, according to Field Gulls. I really like this initial 53, but there's about eight guys waived today that I hope are back on the practice squad tomorrow. I especially liked how they weren't afraid to make tough cuts and keep UDFA Ivey and O'Toole. Eight of their 11 draft picks made it, and Martinez and White should wind up on the practice squad. Glad Holani made it. Always a crapshoot, but I'm happy with this team going into the season.

yes, fine with all the cuts, need another LB or two, perhaps another OT, and if Pili is hurt, still need a Nose. otherwise i'm happier with Pili than Hankins.
Martinez was a great college RB but lacks top speed for this level, and doesnt (yet) add any Special Teams prowess so i wont much care if he sneaks through to our PS or gets poached. O'Toole making the team is the biggest surprise to me, but aptly named, he's "toolsy". guess they figured Smith is easier to keep given he's older and hasn't cracked the lineup yet.

he looked horrible in preseason, especially trying him at LG. seems limited to RG only, too slow for anything else; rather have Risner or Kenyon Green at this point.

four TEs and two FBs, you think they are serious about running the ball?
Odd enough that Russell is listed at fullback, right? I mean, why not just group him with the tight ends? Oh, I see now. Because no team keeps five on its roster, and the Seahawks would have five on theirs, as crazy as that sounds. Arroyo and Barner are the no-brainers. Eric Saubert was thought to have a solid chance as well. And yeah, he made it. Gotta have another great blocking tight end.

But Nick Kallerup? An undrafted rookie making the roster as a fourth tight end seems wild. Especially when you see that in a four-year collegiate career, he caught 14 passes. That's 14 receptions in 57 games, 12s. A wide receiver in a tight end's body, he ain't.
another article
“Mike Macdonald wants a run-heavy offense that uses multiple tight ends and fullbacks,” added Edholm. “That limits things a bit at receiver, but I still felt like they had to make room for MVS on the roster given the question marks at the other spots. Does Sam Darnold have the weapons he needs to thrive? Will the Seahawks be crippled by their lack of depth there? In what looks like a tight division, questions such as these can weigh heavily the longer the season goes on.”

Pili and Bohanna didn't make the cut. The team has no NT as of now.

Yeah, I just pointed out on the other thread, a pair of UDFA edge rushers did
