Re: Charlie Kirk has died Rest in Peace
I'd be surprised if it was a "pro". First of all, the choice of weapon, a bolt-action rifle wouldn't be the ideal weapon of choice for a sniper. Secondly, whether he was aiming for Kirk's head or heart, the shooter missed by more than six inches and was just lucky he hit an artery. A professional sniper doesn't miss that badly from that distance.
Also, they just released a photo of the shooter and he looks like a scrungy little fuck. Probably another loner loser.

Yup, that's where I'm at with this now. At first I thought a single kill shot, a clean retreat and what appeared to be fairly meticulous planning might mean this was a pro at work. But now, with him dropping his deer-hunting rifle nearby, a rifle he has allegedly written messages on as well as on the rounds, leaving prints and photographic evidence, this looks like another Luigi, some fucked-up kid trying to make a a statement. I'll be surprised if another 24 hours go by without him being located.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 6:43 pmI'd be surprised if it was a "pro". I'm very happy that Utah is a capital punishment state. Hope they put him down as quickly as possible.....maoling wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 7:47 pmYup, that's where I'm at with this now. Which really means nothing. If he gets the death penalty he'll spend decades on death row, not to mention that people like this at most barely care if they live or die. What's done is done. Sometimes evil wins.XpertDBA wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 8:12 pmI'm very happy that Utah is a capital punishment state. This I'm not so sure about. He is sounding more like a narcissist who will probably try to milk the media when they catch him. If he didn't care if he lived or died, he likely would have offed himself at the scene.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 9:25 pmWhich really means nothing. I'm sure he knows he's going to be caught, right now he's just living out his Robin Hood fantasy by seeing if he can spend a day or two on the lam before his inevitable capture. I don't think that anyone would really think that they'd get away with something like that.maoling wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 9:40 pmThis I'm not so sure about. The weapon recovered is a Mauser .30-06, which is extremely usable as a sniper rifle.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 6:43 pmI'd be surprised if it was a "pro". Re: Charlie Kirk has died Rest in Peace
I'm not a gun guy, but a .30-06 would more be associated with some farm boy or a game hunter to me than it would a trained sniper who brought an automatic weapon with all the bells and whistles. Also, I haven't watched the grim video by choice, but would this appear to be a normal round or some kind of fragmentation bullet?GL_Storm wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 10:31 pmThe weapon recovered is a Mauser .30-06, which is extremely usable as a sniper rifle.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 6:43 pmI'd be surprised if it was a "pro". I guess my question is, if you were hell-bent on an assassination from 200 yards with light security and had the means to use any long-range rifle, would a bolt-action .30-06 be a go-to choice, or would you use an automatic souped-up modern tech type rifle? I'm reading that a .30-06 is deadly from 600 yards.
