Everything about this team is a joke, from the virtue signalling arena name to the clueless front office and greedy owners.
It's not just the Kraken. But a lot of it boils down to lousy ownership and the league itself, which is also a joke.

In my mind, Bettman has turned the NHL into a highly skilled beer league. Not much in the way of legitimate bodychecks and a lot of stick work. Players getting injured due to high sticks and dirty hits. And no enforcers, so it goes unchecked. Hockey isn't hockey anymore. It's overpriced entertainment for the masses (who can afford it). It's ticket sales, concession and merch. The game itself takes a back seat.

I'm surprised that there aren't any enforcers, with 18 roster spots you can certainly afford to have one. Be nice to have a Stu Grimson-type on the team.

I'm not following hockey these days, they have gotten rid of the fighting haven't they. That was the sports news staple, the evening hockey fight video. I was thinking that analytics probably made the enforcer passé. a quick AI question got me this
Decline and Modern Era: While the role was once prevalent, the prevalence of enforcers has decreased in the modern era due to rule changes, advanced analytics, and shifting strategies. However, some physical players still thrive in the league, though with less ice time and fewer fights than in past decades.

Hockey as changed a lot, I am curious what the process was. I am gonna guess they reduced the violence to try and broaden the interest, make it more family oriented. I guess I remember that debate at the time. That would be the rule changes. And a more cerebral approach to strategy. They have done similar things to football and baseball. They reduced the hitting in football and the arguing in baseball. Are we getting less baseball fights these days? When was the last time there was a good baseball fight?
