I thought that was the punishment? You lost your 16 points? That's nuts. Rewarded for forgetting to pick when there is an upset. Good strategy I guess.

For missing the Thursday game the penalty is losing the lowest point bet, but (as i found out last year) if you miss the early Sunday games they play in Europe it costs you the max point amount you have left (15 or 16).
