We've played 11 postseason games this season, and in only two of them have we had good overall offensive showings. Even in game 5 against the Jays we had a bad offensive game with thankfully one big swing by Geno.

What's WRONG with these guys? It's not like they're facing top pitching either. The starting pitchers we've faced at best aren't quite as good as ours, and the relief pitching we've faced has overall been below average yet we've got several guys not hitting and runs have been so hard to come by. The performance against Scherzer in particular was inexcusable.
Schrerzer gonna be back out their again tonight possibly. Gausman also.
Sherbet is a HOF er Scherzer*
That he is, but in his last six starts this season he had an ERA of 9.00 and then was out for a month. You shouldn't be getting shut down by someone like that once, let alone potentially a second time tonight.

I am thinking Kirby goes 5 or 6 shutdown innings just because of his record of not doing so well

Because of uno reverse card

Julio 0-10 last 3 games
Polanco 0-10 last 3 games
Arozarena 8-44 this postseason
JP 3-33 this postseason
Canzone 2-21 this postseason
Robles 3-26 this postseason
Rivas 1-10 in the ALCS

How the hell did we ever manage to make it this far with this many guys not hitting at all? I mean, LOOK at that, that is just unheard of for a team that's in game 7 of the ALCS.

And can some of these guys get hot for just ONE night?

In the last four games, the M'S have virtually sucked except for the eighth inning of game five. Kirby gives me no confidence.... but the fact that Woo, Miller, and Castillo will be in the bullpen makes me feel ready to play these guys. I also like the lineup with three switch hitters in there, with speed in the 8 and nine hole. I hope the guys throughout the lineup take a breath and don't swing out of their ass. Just one by one, each guy, put up a good AB, play under control, and put some pressure on these fucking bullies. Win or lose, it's been a fantastic year..... but winning is better, better than anything else, winning is all that matters. Kirby needs to man up and hit his spot, plant a seed of doubt in their gutless brains. We had chances last night. Maybe the Jays should be favored 9 out of 10 times..... maybe any other night. but not this night, not tonight. This is our opportunity, this is our chance. We have to put it in their faces tonight. Hopefully, nah, it doesn't matter... the umps better have the same strike zone for both teams. Play better... leave Canzone in the dugout. Rivas has earned his playing time. Like to see Randy Aroz... show up tonight.

Gonna need a complete 360 from gm 3. Gonna need Kirby to outpitch Bieber badly. He has always owned us though. Gotta get him out early. Need some quick production from the offense.
