The official Hot Stove League Thread 2025-26 Offseason
Figured it was time. Last out of the World Series is behind us.
Per D-Train when he started last year's Hot Stove thread: All Hot Stove league news can go here other than Mariner moves which obviously deserve their own thread.

Mariners pick up the $7m option on Munoz. Hope they look to add Edwin Diaz or Devin Williams in FA to bolster the back end. Munoz did some good things in the playoffs but for me, he's still to weak at the knees in big moments. He can get rocked for as good as his ERA tends to be

Always loved his realism and detail. The one of him painting his own self-portrait is classic.
I remember lots of Rockwell pics in the doctor's and dentist's offices when I was a kid. Is that just me? I have a specific memory of getting a filling when I was a kid and staring at a Rockwell taped to the ceiling.

Would love, love, love it if they brought Diaz back. But I think he'll be too expensive, and the M's don't tend to spend big on relievers - they trade them.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 9:08 pmMariners pick up the $7m option on Munoz. From where I'm sitting Luke Raley might end up being an odd man out this offseason.
One guy that I think Dipoto has on his radar- because he loves old guys who have great years- if they go after an outfielder, is Ramon Laureano.
According to wOBA- which corresponds closer to Runs than any other statistic- Laureano with a .364 wOBA was within points of Pete Alonso, Matt Olson, Vlad Jr., Corey Seager, Rafael Devers, and Yandy Diaz.

Yeah I am sure Jerry is going to pay this for a reliever. lol He is more likely to sign Bregman.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 9:08 pmMariners pick up the $7m option on Munoz. Edwin Díaz is predicted to sign a 4-year, $88 million contract, likely with the Mets, after opting out of his previous deal. His stellar 2025 season, which saw him post a 1.63 ERA with 28 saves, is expected to lead to a historic deal that surpasses the previous record for a reliever. While other teams may offer a contract, the Mets are considered a strong candidate to re-sign him.
