If we're in on Skubal, who goes? (rotation wise, not package)
They love Kirby, hence his Gm 5 and Gm 7 nods. I think they're still extremely on Gilbert. Have to be high on Woo. Miller and Castillo seem to be the weak links. Maybe you do a heads up trade Miller for Skubal?
Tigers get, what, 4 yrs of Miller for Skubs in a walk year? Maybe you throw in Logan Evans or someone like Luis Suisbel/Dom Canzone as a sweetener?
M's expected to be in on Skubal per Buster Olney

What's a Miller for Skubs straight up deal look like on that bs-feeder site?

Trading Anderson or Farmelo would be foolish, trading them both would be asinineD-train wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 2:32 amAndersonVogelbomb wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 2:27 amwhere's Olney getting his info?

Re: M's expected to be in on Skubal per Buster Olney
Has any Boras client ever done an extension before his deal was up. I'd definitely be in talks with Skubal & the Tigers for sure. At this rate who has a better 1-5 than us. Skanks possibly. Definitely not Stros especially considering since their losing Valdez, no else in the division comes remotely close. Joe Ryan could very well be on his way out of the Twin Cities. Boston has Sale & Crochet who else. If our guys all come back fully healthy there's no reason to think we have the best 1-5 as it stands now, adding Skubal makes it even more lethal. It's a gamble for sure, is it a gamble you wanna risk. Here's another question. How many Boras clients that were traded either during the winter or mid-season ended up re-signing with those teams. Your not giving up Cade or Sloan, anything else is on the table. This would be the biggest blockbuster since I can remember. If Jerry's serious about bringing Seattle to it's very first world series, he'd be smart to do this deal. You think you made money on the playoffs this year. Imagine what a 2x Cy Young champ will do for revenue. Seattle has not had a star like this since Felix & obviously the Unit in the 90's. Fans will be lining up outside the stadium to buy tickets to every one of Skubals games. Me included. This is not an opportunity you pass up.

Miller is only worth $11.0M Kirby is at $57M to that would work straight up.

Trading injury prone guy in A ball for the best Pitcher on the planet straight up would cause the Tiger fanbase to bomb the stadium. Anderson has never thrown a pro pitch and only sits 92-94 which is nothing these days. I know he is more effective than that but still.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 2:36 amTrading Anderson or Farmelo would be foolish, trading them both would be asinineD-train wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 2:32 amAndersonVogelbomb wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 2:27 amwhere's Olney getting his info?

Miller is pathetically undervalued... that website has too massive of swings in their evaluations when it comes to injuries. He was worth $50M at the end of last season on the site... he was stellar in the playoffs, healthy, and consistently hitting 96/97mph.
Veteran pitchers making $$ hasn't scared off teams from making trades. I think Vogel is right that nobody is sitting there doing what the site is insinuating with his value. Would he go for a ton? No. But he'd go for a decent asset even if the M's don't throw in any money.
I don't see the M's adding Skubal. Bucks their philosophy completely.
Skenes would make more sense but I don't see Pitt putting him on the block.

It's interesting to think about what a package for Skenes would look like though. The Mariners could definitely put something nice together if Pittsburgh was willing to talk.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 3:56 amMiller is pathetically undervalued... that website has too massive of swings in their evaluations when it comes to injuries. MLBTC is not perfect but when we got him the price was at east 1 top 100 off.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 1:24 amHe has negative incremental value on the site because of his salary.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Wed Nov 05, 2025 10:33 pmI doubt you would get much for Castillo at this point his velocity is dropping like Felix’s did and any further determination and you have a $ #5tehmc wrote: ↑Wed Nov 05, 2025 6:55 pmTarik Skubal would be fun as long as we don't part with Kirby/Gilbert/Woo/Emerson/Andersen/Montes
If we trade for him now we can give him a QO next season at least.
But honestly I would rather run with options and trade a Miller or Castillo for an offensive replacement.
