If the Texans had just a slightly better offense they might be undefeated.
That's an impressive defense, but how do you have a back score from damn near 50 out and spend most of the rest of the game running him on and off the field? I laughed every time Herbstreet talked about Buffalo lacking a playmaker, and saying "they need to get James Cook one on one with a LB". He said it three times, all three times? Cook wasn't even on the field. These guys are more concerned with being cute than winning.

The numbers don't show it, but the snap count does. If Ty Johnson is only going to have two carries and three targets, why have him on the field for 23 snaps and Cook only 36? It's not to block. When you have limited playmakers, why remove one so often? Ty Johnson was their second leading receiver last night. Houston was no different. I am one of Nick Chubb's biggest fans, but Woody Marks is the OBVIOUS option, and they got down to the goal line and took Marks out for Chubb, only to get stuffed. Chubb has had like five knee surgeries...he just doesn't have it anymore. But these guys can't help themselves. It really is like the Right Left splits in baseball, when managers just blindly use it regardless of who is hot or performing.

And can someone please tell me why the Bills got the ball with 2:48 seconds left in the game, and ran only two plays before the two minute warning? What in the Hell is going on? Buffalo had no business even having a chance to win that game, and I honestly blame McDermott. He treats Josh Allen like this is Urban Meyer and the Florida Gators and he has Tim Tebow. Allen has 10 Rushing TDs already this season. Last year he had 12 and the year before 15. Is he their goal line back or QB? The guy has been in the league for 9 years and is past his 29th Birthday. These aren't Tush Pushes either. He has 70 carries already this season. Only Hurts and Fields have more. They are both younger and play a different style. I don't watch Fields that often, but Hurts doesn't seem to take the contact that Allen does. I also wonder if half of Hurts carries aren't Tush Pushes?

With limited playmakers, and not much of a rushing attack last night, they used the screen game almost never. They took their best weapon off the field on 30 of 36 snaps, then wondered why they couldn't make plays. These guys just blow my mind sometimes.

That said? Houston's Defense looks a lot like ours Young, nasty and fly around. I'd like to see us against Buffalo now. It sure wouldn't look like the last few times Allen has carved us up.

Did all of us pick the Bills that game ffs? I am not betting against the Oilers at home for the rest of the season. Same almost with the Panthers or stinkin' feckin' Falcons at home.

Man, I wanted to take the Colts, but losing at home to fall under .500? Just didn't see that happening in Arrowhead.

Good call! I was hoping the Colts might nip them, mostly because I don't want to see the Chiefs in the playoffs this year. My other pig game is the Raiders. I thought just maybe at home against a crappy 2-8 Browns' team, they might show a thimble's worth of of pride, but no, guess not. One and done for both PC and Geno this year?

I picked up a kid in East Wenatchee this morning and he was going on and on about how the Cowboys had a bunch of guys back from injury and were going to beat the Eagles today. I almost changed my pick because of it but of course when I saw than down 21-0 I thought dumb kid. ha Sigh.

The raiders offense is truly awful. I remember a preseason prediction deal that had chip Kelly coming out of the season with a HC gig, that's aging well. The pundits really were optimistic

Lol, I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue weighting the Rams' game. I thought the Bucs might have a chance. Gauntlet is right! I've gone from first early today for a cup of coffee to eighth or so and everywhere in between today. And so many of these games have been right down to the wire. Giants almost beat the Lions. Colts blow it in KC. Dallas comes back. Titans make it interesting at the end. Hard to believe some people try to make a living at this without having a stroke.
