The raiders offense is truly awful. I remember a preseason prediction deal that had chip Kelly coming out of the season with a HC gig, that's aging well. The pundits really were optimistic
And the Hawks just topped their over under in their 11th game. Can't believe people listen to those dopes.

PC humiliated at home by the freakin Browns.
How appropriate that a 2-8 team named the Browns left such a giant skid mark on PC and Geno today. This is like getting mud-butted by your entire NFL cell block.

And Kelly gets canned...
As noted in this ESPN article, “Las Vegas was 30th in points (15.5), total yards (269), rushing yards (81.4), EPA (minus-61.40) and red zone efficiency (46.2%), respectively.” To make these stats more damning, Kelly was reportedly the NFL’s highest paid offensive coordinator, having come over from college football after winning a national championship with Ohio State’s loaded offense

I picked up a kid in East Wenatchee this morning and he was going on and on about how the Cowboys had a bunch of guys back from injury and were going to beat the Eagles today. I almost changed my pick because of it but of course when I saw than down 21-0 I thought dumb kid. ha Sigh.
You should try to find him and hire him to be an insider source because i doubt anyone here other than Michael was aware of that.

BTW i initially picked the Cowboys but 10 minutes before gametime i changed the pick because every other time i have gone with Dallas i've been burned this year. I hate them.

Did you read Raider Fan sites? You keep coming up with this shit, I didn't see one single thing that predicted the Raiders would be even competitive. I can't believe anyone with a brain thought that Pete and Chip running things in Sin City would be a good fit. That Geno would function at a high level, that you could have a terrible O Line, draft a RB and have it be fixed. They have little to no talent, a coach who has seen his best football days pass him by, and to boot? He is the least disciplined coach in the League, and coaches millionaire testosterone filled young men in Vegas!

I don't know what shit you were reading this off season, but they must have all been written by Pete's family members.

There were what, four teams with lower Super Bowl odds to start the season. I have no idea what shit Donn was reading, but no one that had a clue about the game thought this was gonna end well.

Nope, I put big numbers on both Buffalo and Philly this week. Philly is a mystery to me. How do you blow a 21 point lead to one of the most dysfunctional teams in the League? In a tie game, Dallas ran it on second and goal from the 7 or so yard line. Williams gets drug down just short of the goal line. Dak threw incomplete on the next three passes and Philly took over again. No attempt at a sneak, not one more try for Williams, nope....three straight incomplete from the one. And they won the fucking game! There was some real weird shit yesterday. All the missed tackles for us, New Orleans actually should have easily beaten Atlanta but they missed two very makable FGs and turned it over I think twice in the Red Zone. Jacksonville passed on a very makable FG to go up six with around a minute to play, only to fail on fourth down and watch AZ force overtime on a last second FG. Then they win in OT. There was other goofy shit I can't even remember. Buffalo played almost half the game with their best offensive weapon not playing QB on the sidelines. I don't get this shit. Sure makes it hard to predict games.

Here is Heavy.com reporting on the ESPN article
Last year, the Las Vegas Raiders went into the season with an underwhelming offensive coordinator in Luke Getsy. Instead of going with another lackluster hire, new head coach Pete Carroll brought in Chip Kelly as his offensive coordinator and made him the highest-paid assistant coach in the NFL.

While Kelly hasn’t been in the NFL since 2016, his playcalling has evolved quite a bit in recent years. There’s a lot of excitement about what he can do now that he’s back in the league.

The problem is that if he does a great job and builds a top-10 offense in Las Vegas, other teams might want to poach him to be their head coach. ESPN’s Seth Walder made a bold prediction for the 2025 season for the Raiders, and he believes that Kelly is going to be one-and-done in Las Vegas.

Kelly will be an NFL head coach in 2026,” Walder wrote. OK, technically that isn’t a bold prediction for 2025, but there’s no way Kelly will land another head coaching job unless his Raiders offense in 2025 does well. Once it does, owners will zoom out and look at that, his success at Ohio State, his time as UCLA’s head coach and parts of his previous NFL tenure and think: That’s a pretty good résumé!

So, Vegas gave them some of the lowest odds in the league to get to a Super Bowl, but some guy at fucking heavy.com says -

And you read....everyone loves the Raiders this year? Oh, and it goes on to say "the Raiders believe they have an upgrade at OC", but again, Donn reads that as the National media is in love with Pete and the Raiders. Sorry dude, never heard of heavy.com, and even that article doesn't lead me to believe people in the National media love the Raiders. Points out Kelly hasn't called plays in the NFL in almost ten years, and that if he doesn't have them performing highly he won't get another head job. But I sure don't see this Raider love that you keep talking about.

Dude at heavy says there is a lot of excitement and that the Raiders believe they made an upgrade. OK.

Heavy.com is a major outlet, but they weren't doing the predicting. All they are doing is piggybacking on ESPN by reporting on the ESPN article. I could go find the original ESPN article which is what I had read. But I think supplying other outlets reporting on it should be enough that it was pretty significant on the internet.
That's who Seth Walter is
Seth Walder is a national NFL analyst at ESPN, specializing in covering the NFL using quantitative analysis. His work includes topics ranging from season projections to player analysis based on NFL Next Gen Stats.
