Yup, Mystery Theater with Love this year, and MM hates talking about him and really any injury. But more than anything, they want Love around for these critical stretch games to snag the NFC West, especially Colts 12/14, then the Rams right away on Thursday Night 12/18, both at Lumen. Plus a playoff run. No sense rushing him back at this point against the Queens, or maybe even the Falcons.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 3:10 amWhen the fuck is Love supposed to be back? He's going to miss over half the season with a hamstring injury that was initially reported as day to day.

From a couple days ago
Macdonald said last week that Love may be back on the field in the next week or two.
Re: Vikings Preview
Incredible statement about our depth of talent and scheming genius that while such a key piece has been out all year, in addition to others' missing time (Emmanwori, Witherspoon, now Okada) they haven't even missed a beat. With Spoon, Jobe and Riq all playing well we've now got an extra starter to spare at corner, and when Love makes it back we'll have the same at safety. So nice to have that depth late in the season, better even than the LOB in SB 49 when Richard had to play with a bum arm and Jeremy Lane gets hurt in the first quarter - might have never had to see the play that shall not be mentioned.maoling wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 3:49 amYup, Mystery Theater with Love this year, and MM hates talking about him and really any injury. See where they cut Derion Kendrick, that seems pretty remarkable given the start to the season he had57reasons wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 5:20 amIncredible statement about our depth of talent and scheming genius that while such a key piece has been out all year, in addition to others' missing time (Emmanwori, Witherspoon, now Okada) they haven't even missed a beat. Yesterday on 710 espn I heard two different Vikings reporters basically still believe Minn didn't fuck up
their QB situation. I suppose our homer press would be saying the same if it was the other way around.

They made a mistake in drafting McCarthy but as far as the decision to move on from Sam, they pretty much had no choice. If you draft a QB in the first round you have to put them on the field and see if they can play. You cant just leave him on the bench for 4 years. I guess the Packers kind of did that with Jordan Love but they had an all time great there not a journeyman who had one great season.

From seahawks.com:
"As for an update on Love's health, he is eligible to return from injured reserve this week, but as of Monday, a decision has not been made on whether or not he'll return this week.
"We're still working through Julian's situation and same thing with Eric (Saubert), so we'll see Wednesday what the plan is, but right now we don't really have a clear enough plan to report," Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Monday."

Re: Vikings Preview
They did the same thing with Aaron Rodgers, had him hold the clipboard for three years and watch Brett Favre. Guessing the next QB they draft in the first round will be on the field a lot sooner.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 4:57 pmThey made a mistake in drafting McCarthy but as far as the decision to move on from Sam, they pretty much had no choice.
