I would trade him for Skenes right now, and that's about it. I can't think of any other player I would trade him for. I probably won't do that trade a year from now.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Nov 27, 2025 1:31 amOne for one...........tough question but yeah I would do that.

Yeah, Anderson was the number three pick in what was a thin draft. I have wondered how much that impacts his ranking. Does he really have a higher ceiling than say Gilbert or Hancock. He gets hyped as a future number one but I'm thinking he will probably be lower. I think they added another promising starter but I question the hypeD-train wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 7:36 pmThere is also this. I am wondering if this still plays with MLB hitters....seems like a risk that could limit upside.
Kade Anderson's fastball velocity sits around 92-94 mph but can touch 97 mph, and it plays "better than its velocity" due to its "true rise/carry," allowing it to be effective high in the strike zone. The pitch is noted for its carry, and while his fastball command is considered solid, it can be a focus for improvement, though he is generally good at filling the zone with strikes.

You're making too much of Martes age, it's the next couple of years that's important and every indication is he will be a dominant hitter over that time. It's like you go back and forth. You want to be aggressive, trading Sloan for Ketle would on fact be an aggressive move. Maximize the opportunity over the next two seasons. It's opportunity, it's the kind of move serious teams make. Like the padres trading for Soto. The hell with bean counting
