I didn't include Marte in this questionnaire, because I feel like we all would perfer Marte. But between Donovan or Polo, who you got?

I don't know much about Donovan but Polanco at least proved last year that (when healthy) he can hit well at T-mobile.

Polanco may hit better but really with his knees he isn’t anything more then a DH and LT 30 games in the field when Cal is Dhing

Jorge was solid last year a came up clutch a lot in the post season.

But let’s not forget his 2024 season where he struggled to stay above Mendoza (.213) and struck out 137 times.

As harmony would say, we may have recent bias with Polanco. If we give him 2-3 years, the question is which version of him will we be getting.

Every player is a gamble, but Polanco has had as many ups as he has had downs at T-Mobile.

The only way I want Polanco on this team is if he is the primary DH.

So what has Brandon Donovan done to make you confident that he wouldn-t struggle to hit at T-Mobile like 90% of veteran players that sign here?

He had a OPS over .900 at T Mobile last season. Major Regression incoming...

He is LH and a line drive hitter like Naylor.

For National League guys I like to look and see what they have done in San Fransisco and San Diego. Those two parks are similar to Seattle in proximity to the marine layer and always seem to be down towards the bottom of the Park factor rankings as well.
Donovan in SF 10 games .419/.471/.710/1.180. In SD 7 games .308/.438/.577/1.014. Obviously its still a small sample size but at least he doesn't appear to be intimidated by west coast pitchers parks.
