If Stanton had balls Off season plan

Post by D-train » Thu Dec 18, 2025 11:33 pm

Bichette just said he is willing play 2B. Projections are for a 6-8 year contract at about $25M AAV. Sign him. Let JP play one last year at SS and then Colt takes over there in 2027.

Trade or sign a RH High leverage reliever.

Trade Colt for Ivan Herrera (136 OPS+) to be DH and a 3rd Catcher in case Knizner still can't hit.

The prospect huggers could rejoice and we would add two impact bats.

Bichette 2B
Julio CF
Naylor 1B
Cal C
Herrera DH
Canzone RF
Randy LF
Colt 3B
JP SS

Bench
Knizler
Raley
Robles
Rivas

2026 Payroll in plan would only be about $10M more than if we trade for Marte.

If were going to throw caution to the wind....

I am signing Kyle Tucker and Alex Bregman.

Trading Ben Williamson and Nick Becker for Yandy Diaz

Trading Bryce Miller, Cole Young and Logan Evans for Skubal

1. Julio CF 6.8 WAR
2. Diaz DH 3.4 WAR
3. Tucker RF 4.6 WAR
4. Cal C 7.4 WAR
5. Bregman 3b 3.5 WAR
6 Naylor 1B 2.2 WAR
7. Randy LF 4.0 WAR
8. JP SS 3.8 WAR
9. Bliss/Colt 2b ?

Skubal 2.21 ERA
Woo 2.94 ERA
Gilbert 3.44 ERA
Kirby 4.21 ERA
Castillo 2.94 ERA

That's a world Series team and they still wouldn't even be top 5 in payroll.

I wonder if MLB GMs look at those trade apps when considering trades, because I'd be shocked if anyone traded an impact MLB hitter for Cole Young.

But yeah, make Bichette an offer. Really, why not? It makes no sense for the organization to not even consider him.

Looks great but I don’t think you can get Herrera for just Young. I am betting it would be 3 Young’s.

I don't think there's any way the Tigers would ever make that trade.

My plan just requires Stanton to have balls, yours requires him to have above average size balls which we know is impossible. lol

The site likes it but I think Cole is way overvalues.

I agree that Young is overvalued but Herrera only caught 16 games last season so his valuation is probably spot on. I would say it is more like 1.5 to 2 Youngs.
