I'm financially literate and have way more than I need to retire, however, you guys and baseball contracts are 10 levels above normal human processing. I come here just to read all your comments and am astounded how good you all are with managing baseball contracts.
I sense sarcasm??? I do have a Masters in finance from the Tarik Skubal college of Finance at Seattle University. lol
No sarcasm whatsoever. I was giving all you guys a true compliment. Your knowledge of baseball contracts and trade possibilities makes reading these posts a pleasure each day.
Happy to hear that. Much appreciated brother.

Probably said all that about Geno too and then traded him for a pile of rocks.

All said, I still don't understand what good it is to have such a great farm if you don't utilize it add elite players during your run of contention.

Jerry's "strategy" is confusing to say the least.

I hope Kelenic does well in Chicago. I think a lot of other players would have given up by now. Kudos to him for persistence.

It is pretty simple. Prospects make minimum wage and good players that you trade for do not. All about money with this org as per usual.

He will turn 27 yo during the All Star break. Last season was his 5th in the big leagues and was by far his worst. Couldn't even hit AAA pitching. Will take a miracle.

Jerry said he expects payroll to be more than where they ended last year.

He's $11M short of that right now.

If he ends up short that will be majorly disappointing.

He said it would be right about at that number and yeah they are short right now but I highly doubt they will share our disappointment if they fall short of it.
