Re: Ben Solak's 2025 All-Rookie team
That said, as the season approached, I did warm up to the notion of Milroe getting limited snaps in low leverage situations to keep defenses on their heels (mainly for the entertainment value), but that was because I viewed the Seahawks as a likely ~.500 team that had the luxury of experimenting with a new toy. This was not something that should be done in a season with Super Bowl aspirations. In fact, I am opposed to drafting a developmental QB at all when there are greater immediate needs at other positions. They already signed their starting QB to a 3 year deal, how about using the draft to surround him with players that will help him succeed?
So, sure, i now have the advantage of hindsight with regard to how good the 2025 Seahawks are and how much Milroe was able to contribute to their success (zero), but that isn't the point. If JS (you know, the guy paid big bucks to assess these things) had thought they would even just be a marginal playoff contender this year it was, in my mind, a significant blunder to use a late 3rd round pick on a position already adequately addressed with the signings of Darnold and Lock. This isn't a takedown of him though by any means, i give him kudos for drafting an interior OL in the 1st round and moving up to grab Emmanwori. Also I i think Mills and Horton were great value picks and will be significant assets in the future.

hindstite??? Is that a porn site for big butts. lolauroraave wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 10:23 pmI totally dug the Milroe pick, still do. Remember the situation? No, of course not. Seattle's QB room was unsettled - Geno was shipped off, I can't remember if we had signed Darnold yet, probably had, so we add Lock, Milroe and Darnold to give us a varied, diverse and experienced QB room. Milroe was, and is, a total wild card. Just because he hasn't paid dividends yet, doesn't mean he won't. He wasn't a scrub in college and he wasn't considered a first rounder - Seattle got him in the perfect spot. This 'hindsight drafting' is utterly pathetic. 13-3 and all bunged up about Miltroe. Jesus Fucking Christ. Hey, remember that guy that jumped off side in game three? Let's deep dive into that. Also, should probably fire Schneider. God he's the WORST!
Oh, and it doesn't appear Seattle needed a DT, does it? Seems like Schneider, the horrible GM, you know, the guy that drafted the biggest bust in the 2025 draft, Milroe. You roll the dice, you take your chances. Live with it - or maybe head on over to the WNBA forum.
I also 100% supported Harvin & Penny, then and now. I don't 'change my position' because things didn't work out AFTER a logical move is made and do the hindsite bullshit in a ridiculous effort to 'look smart'. "Oh, let's see who the best players were, oh, yeah, that's who I definitely would have taken!"![]()

I liked the idea of Milroe, but I was basing that thinking JS was knew what he was doing.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 6:11 pmIt was a worthwhile risk, and at the time I liked it. In hindsight? I wish they'd have taken Sanders.
Why doesn't Milroe play on special teams? I'm serious. Why not? If I'm him and it looks like I'm busting, I would
be begging to get out there on special teams to show my commitment.
As for Sanders, I'm rooting for him to succeed as an underdog story that pisses people off, but
there's no way I'd want him on the Seahawks.
Re: Ben Solak's 2025 All-Rookie team
He is an underdog in the sense of his draft position but is probably the most privileged College football player ever given his Dad and NIL. Not only that he is a prima donna. I will never root for someone like that.trharder wrote: ↑Thu Jan 01, 2026 9:15 pmI liked the idea of Milroe, but I was basing that thinking JS was knew what he was doing.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 6:11 pmIt was a worthwhile risk, and at the time I liked it. Re: Ben Solak's 2025 All-Rookie team
I think Sanders pisses people off because he is everything wrong in college football. His father is a self absorbed look-at-me and me-over-the-team type, who trains his kids to be the same, didn't they 'retire' sanders jersey at Colorado after having a .500 career and literally winning nothing? Sanders is a decent talent who thinks he is better than he is - just like his dad. Remember - Dion was wearing "Prime" gear at colorado games - his brand, not Colorado's. That's Russell Wilson level cringe. Imagine shedeur's 'me-over-the-team mentality on the seahawks. Oil and Water. The fact he is on cleveland is the greatest thing ever - until he ends up on the Jets and that fan base gets ahold of him. Fuck that guy x1000. Not that I hold a strong opinion or anythingtrharder wrote: ↑Thu Jan 01, 2026 9:15 pmI liked the idea of Milroe, but I was basing that thinking JS was knew what he was doing.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 6:11 pmIt was a worthwhile risk, and at the time I liked it. way off topic - any chance exiting PAC-12 teams come back? I could see Cal/Stanford/UCLA coming back, maybe even SC.

Re: Ben Solak's 2025 All-Rookie team
Colorado has a National Championship, and no one from that team had their jersey retired. They went 8 and 4 or some shit, lost a Bowl game, and retired the QBs jersey. It’s a joke.
That said? The kid played pretty good football this year. Maybe all that occurred humbled him a bit?

I remember the Huskies at Colorado in 1990 vividly- We had a 1st and goal at the 7 with Brunell and failed 4 times to punch it in and time expired - UghMichael K. wrote: ↑Fri Jan 02, 2026 5:12 pmColorado has a National Championship, and no one from that team had their jersey retired. Yep, I had it on the radio in my room. Couldn’t believe we couldn’t get in! Rondo wasn’t all that thrilled either.Nwadventure wrote: ↑Fri Jan 02, 2026 6:59 pmI remember the Huskies at Colorado in 1990 vividly- We had a 1st and goal at the 7 with Brunell and failed 4 times to punch it in and time expired - Ugh
Re: Ben Solak's 2025 All-Rookie team
One small problem with comparing Shaduer and his Dad...his Dad is in the top 1% of all Hall of Fame players. His son will not even be close to that, so the only thing each brings is swag which Deion has in abundance because he has earned it, while is son is mediocre at best.auroraave wrote: ↑Fri Jan 02, 2026 3:09 pmI think Sanders pisses people off because he is everything wrong in college football. As to Milroe, I know this is a group that immediately downgrades/dimisses you if you haven't gone through the minors as fast as Jr. and Arod did and hit like they did mid career coming out of the box. Some players need time to sit and some do not. Steve Young sat behind Montana for 4 years before taking the reigns. So did Aaron Rodgers. So did 90% of all NFL QB's. We got Darnold relatively cheap because he had been rushed in to playing for the Jets. I bet next year Milroe is moved to the #2 and he will sit then as well. It takes some guys a lot longer to become productive. As for him being a 3rd pick; so what? We all know JS has his idea of a guy's draft position at the beginning of each draft and he drafts the best player on his board at that time when his pick may come or is done talking to other teams about trading. I trust JS so I trust that he made a good pick of Milroe.
