Personally I believe they are going with Ben/Colt at 3rd and Young/Bliss at 2nd. It won’t bother me as long as they perform. I have no confidence Eugenio ability to hit at Safeco.
Agree about Geno. Of course we will all love it if they perform but is is asinine to roll with those four when there are far better more proven external options.

Bliss: Career .654 OPS Missed almost an entire year
Ben: .607 OPS
Young: .610 OPS
Colt: 20 yo and has played a grand total of FORTY games above A ball

And that doesn't even consider Raley and Robles massive question marks in RF.
I'd think Canzone probably gets the majority of the RF at bats. Robles seems like a good 4th OF, and Raley backing up 1B and OF seems to be on the bubble, but they still seem to like him.

I think we have a solid OF.

I'd really love to see news they're going to have Raley take some grounders at 3B this spring...

I'd just like to get Randy out of the lead off spot so I would support Nico or Donovan for sure.

At this point Canzone is the DH with Raley and Robles Platoon in RF.

Raley isn't very good at 1B so they aren't going to put him at 3B even in the furthest backfield of the Peoria complex. Love their platinum glove defensive golden boy BW.

Canzone is a worse proposition at RF or DH than Young or BW. Canzone was crapping his drawers during the playoffs. Yes, he had a solid 2nd half but he has had years of opportunities and never shown much except for his 6 week streak last year. Young and Williamson have had one chance so far and most are bad mouthing them. I think both will end up being solid regulars.

So you are going to focus on a 29 PA sample vs. great pitching and ignore 269 PAs with a .300 BA and a .840 OPS??? Strange.

btw from June 22nd to Sept 27th which is over a 13 weeks span he hit .310 with a .859 OPS.

You will probably get your wish with them just rolling with .600 OPS Boys, hopefully they swim and don't sink again.

My outlook on Canzone is cautious optimism. I don't expect a 142 OPS+ next season, but if he gives us something like 110 or 115 over a full season I'll be happy with it. I'm not expecting a star.

Canzone was very good when he was on time but I noticed that he gets out on his front foot too early a lot and I'm sure it got picked up. Hopefully that's fixable and he can develop into a consistent bat.

269 PAs is not even a half season but isn't a small sample. His playoff performance was a shit show because the BJs exploited his weaknesses.

2026 will determine what he is as a hitter because he has earned a shot on the OD roster and there are plenty of ABs for him against all RHPs and some LHPs.

Thinking we still are short a solid hitter L would think we could trade prospects for Yandy and let him DH.
