One would think so.

Is Tomlin next?
Tomlin has nine lives. That Damn missed FG that put him in the playoffs and cost me the Pick em Pool Reg. season title saved his dumb ass.
I'm in another pool were there is a rather large prize pool. After weekly winnings is pulled out, I believe it is over $5K, and the top earns money. That kick dropped me from sixth to a four way tie for 8th. Instead of being all alone and getting 5% of the pot, I will split 6% four ways!

Chicago shitting the bed, only to have Philly rest starters and not make them pay for it hurt as well. I also hedged my bets, and took Tampa in this pool and Carolina in that pool. Oops.

If I'm John Harbaugh, I wouldn't even entertain the Giants.

Literally every team with a job opening has called Harbaugh. He is vetting them rather than the other way around. That might be a sign you shouldn't have fired the guy.

And Tomlin has stepped down with two years remaining on his contract. Should he decide to pursue another coaching opportunity, it would likely change the landscape for Harbaugh.

I don't think he can pursue another gig while under contract. AT the very least there would have to be a buy out. Harbaugh should consider Miami or Arizona - live in warm weather for a change and ease into retirement. Stefanski should land a gig quickly. Should Kubiak bail, Miami's ex would be a very interesting candidate for OC if he would consider that. I get the feeling Kubiak isn't leaving, and getting another year with this offense, with an experienced and solid line, could make this unit very formidable. Very few complaints about the oline anymore - and one more draft to potentially upgrade that unit - could make this offense nearly as good as the defense.

My feel on Kubiak is that he might go the same route that Ben Johnson took.
Ben Johnson decided to stay with the Detroit Lions for the 2024 season, turning down head coaching opportunities after the 2023 season to remain in Detroit, only to later accept the Chicago Bears head coaching job in January 2025. He chose to stay in Detroit initially to pursue a Super Bowl, but the allure of coaching Caleb Williams and a talented Bears roster led to his move to Chicago the following offseason.
I think a long playoff run could mean that some of the better jobs are gone, and Kubiak might decide there is nothing that attracts him more than staying here.

Imagine if Harbaugh goes to Pittsburgh and convinces them to trade for Lamar!
I thought it was a no brainer that he would go to Miami, but my son thinks the Giants. Says who wouldn't want to coach Dart, Scatabo and Nabers. I said "a coach that realizes that is three young players with a history of injury!"

It appears as though Tomlin has no interest in coaching for the foreseeable future. He stepped down to spend time with family.

Well deserved, if you ask me.

I really can't see Harbaugh having any interest in the Giants. And MIA, a perennial loser franchise with terrible ownership? I doubt that as well.

Dolphins are recent year losers with terrible ownership, yes, but not perennially. and that ownership has Harbaugh/Michigan ties, so you can see why people were making that link. but yeah, Harbaugh can do much better; be interesting if he stays in division and takes over for Tomlin.

Harbaugh's gotta land where they have a QB - this league is too hard. Pittsburgh has nothing in thier QB room - a big reason, IMO, why Tomlin left.
