It is still quiet. He had a 1.5 WHIP in AAA. He is nothing.

They're just adding to the pile, though I would assume there's something there that they like.

My bad he was actually pretty good in AAA this season. The 1.55 WHIP was last season.

This season he had a 3.28 ERA 1.14 WHIP and 11.6 Ks per 9.

Still a nothing burger but at least the burger isn't rotten. lol

Samad has to be hoping another team picks him up.

I found this old scouting report from 2023, when pipeline had him as the #3 Blue Jays prospect. Obviously, things went south on him after that.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scouting grades: Fastball: 70 | Curveball: 50 | Slider: 55 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 40 | Overall: 45

The system has long been fascinated by Zulueta, who first signed for $1 million in 2019. The hard-throwing Cuban right-hander underwent Tommy John surgery and missed the entire 2020 season but quickly generated some buzz ahead of Spring Training in 2021 when he showed up throwing 99 mph. Zulueta’s bad luck resurfaced, though, as he tore his ACL covering a base in his very first outing of the ’21 season and missed the rest of the summer.

Finally healthy in 2022, the Blue Jays brought Zulueta along slowly. He started in Single-A and climbed through all four affiliates, ending with Triple-A Buffalo. Early on, “Zulu” was used as a traditional starter, working between three and five innings. As he reached Double-A and Triple-A, the Blue Jays began to utilize him in shorter stints as a reliever, but there’s still belief within the organization that he has the depth of arsenal needed to start. With his smooth, easy delivery that still manages to produce some explosive velocity, the Blue Jays also believe he can hold up over a longer workload than his cumulative 55 2/3 innings last season (3.72 ERA).

Zulueta’s fastball remains one of the best pitches in the organization, sitting 95-97 mph with sink. At 25, he earns praise for his maturity and eagerness to learn, but he still pitches with a competitive edge on the mound. While his curveball was once a standout pitch, he has leaned more on his mid-80s slider at Triple-A. With a quality changeup also in his bag, he's transitioned full-time to the bullpen and has seen his control numbers dip at Buffalo. The quality stuff still gives hope that he can be an option in the Toronto bullpen before long.

We traded our 11th round 2025 pick for him. Some guy named Dusty that still hasn't throw a professional pitch. 4+ ERA in College.

Interesting. Yeah, they definitely see something they like. Would love another Bazardo!
