Wilson's collapse was pretty epic. He went from underdog, to over achieving fan favorite and SB winner, to self absorbed narcissist the fans learned to loathe...
So true, and he has nobody to blame but himself. Imagine if he had just played the game, made his millions and then simply retired. Rather than be remembered as an absolute clown, he would have been remembered as a solid athlete, a team player and an all around good guy.

Too bad the ego and money went to his head. His wife must be as nutty as he is. He's the definition of cringe.
His biggest FU was that pick that cost us a SB yet nobody ever gives him an ounce of blame. Imagine if Sam had done that. He would have been crucified.
Again just so were all clear. Was that a Pete call, Bevell or did Wilson make that call. My money is still on Pete but you never know.

Remember, he was the one holdover from Pete's staff. HCs get the adulation but it's really the staff. MM coaches his staff, they coach the players

The #Cardinals interviewed #Seahawks defensive pass game coordinator Karl Scott for their defensive coordinator job, sources tell @CBSSports.

Scott, who has been of interest for a few DC jobs the last two years, helped Seattle rank No. 1 in the NFL in scoring defense
“I’m so thankful for coach K-Scott,” Okada said. “He’s been with me since my rookie year. I was very thankful that he stuck around.

“He’s the ultimate teacher. He does such a great job of coaching us up in the DB room. The way he communicate—he’s so clear and concise. The way he communicates, he’s an awesome coach, an awesome person, so I’m extremely thankful to learn from him since my rookie year.”

Basically signed the practice squad to minimum contracts. Not a big deal but I don't remember that happening before. The practice squad is usually put together at the beginning of the season isn't it?
On Thursday, the Seahawks signed 15 players to reserve/futures contracts:

RB Cam Akers
WR Tyrone Broden
T Logan Brown
WR Montorie Foster
CB Tyler Hall
S Maxen Hook
RB Velus Jones Jr.
C Federico Maranges
LB Chris Paul Jr.
LB Jamie Sheriff
NT J.R. Singleton
NT Bubba Thomas
LB Ja’Markis Weston
WR Ricky White III
RB Jacardia Wright

So that's the extent of the interviews?

I love Mark Schlerth, find him both entertaining and informative. I think like many Offensive Lineman he finds blame in everyone else but the player on the O Line sometimes, but what ever. He said something VERY interesting to me about Russ Wilson and his "Brand". He basically said during Russ' first year that he wonders if he realizes that his actions cost people jobs!
Yes, former NFL offensive lineman and analyst Mark Schlereth has been a vocal critic of Russell Wilson, particularly during his time with the Denver Broncos, stating that Wilson's poor play and high cost directly contributed to team failures and job losses within the organization.

Schlereth's criticisms, largely centered around 2023–2024, included the following points:

Costing Jobs: Schlereth argued that the Broncos had to "swallow a historic financial penalty to release him," which was a direct consequence of the team deciding they could not move forward with him, a sentiment linked to the dysfunction that cost people their jobs.

"Garbage" Play & High Cost: Schlereth described Wilson's 2023 performance as "awful" and "55 minutes of dreck," stating that his production did not align with his massive contract, rendering him a liability to the team's success.

"Toxic Positivity": Schlereth has frequently criticized Wilson's upbeat personality, calling it "toxic positivity" that feels disconnected from the reality of poor performances, which he argued was damaging to team culture.
Delusional Leadership: Schlereth accused Wilson of being unable to admit his limitations, labeling him "delusional" for not accepting his decline, which he believed forced the team to move on.

"Radio Gold": When the Broncos finally decided to bench and release Wilson, Schlereth referred to the move as "radio gold," indicating his firm belief that the team was better off without him.
There was another one that I can't seem to find anymore, but I know it was posted on here. It was an NFL Network guy basically saying that Russ and Ciara got out of their Limo and raised there hands asking for no photos or autographs....and no one was asking for them.

He is a giant douche and got exposed. I remember all the shit about Children's Hospital, and that might have been legit, he might have been trying to give back. But there are a lot of rumblings that he made it very well known when he was going to be there for the photo ops. A real good friend of mine from HS showed me his son's baby picture from Children's when they had to take him there. I was like "Dude, I can't see him!" His reply "Look closer....." The guy next to them was Edgar Martinez. He was just there, visiting kids. No fanfare or photos.

Russ was all about his brand and his ego, and he got what he deserved. The bullshit pre game prep he did when he was hurt, so everyone could see him? Doing exercises in the airplane and then telling the media about it? Come on dude.
Yeah, Schlereth is good - the (hot) chick that owns my gym used to date him. The moment that I dubbed him the Great Cringe was that day in Pittsburgh when he was doing his 'practice" nonsense on the field - he was injured but still spotlight shilling - 'working out' in the endzone by himself - and the camera crew caught it - and ther announcers were trying not to laugh - you could hear Wilson - I am not making this up - calling audibles - while practicing with himself. Literally the most cringe moment I can remember - while the announcers are trying not to laugh. It was brutal and the moment I knew he was done in Seattle. Hard to imagine anyone having less self awareness than The Great Cringe in the moment. So embarrassing.

I wish I could have seen the 'no autographs' moment - that would've been epic.

They'll 'interview" some WNBA assistants to appease Rooney and the whackadoodles on the left. I'd imagine the Mayor now demands homeless people or meth addicts also be interviewed for all open positions theya re 100% NOT qualified for because, you know, it's utterly ridiculous, but also, it's Seattle and it's now run but a possibly-retarded child.

Imagine the horriffic 'sloganeering' and cliche spewing if Wilson was running for office. OMG it would be too much to bear.
"Seattle country, let's vote!" "Go Homeless!" "Seattle, let's protest (things we don't really understand but we saw it on the CNN so here we go)...!)

Huh? This has been covered a lot. Pete said throw it, Bevell called the fucked up slant to the gunner on the punt team, and it was approved by Pete. Russ could have audibled out of it, but a run was out of the question, since Bill was a better chess player than Pete and he a big package on the field but with extra DBs. Kind of what we do with the hybrid guys we have now. Russ could have audibled, and he could have tucked and run. Lockette could have run a better route. OR? We don't call a slant to the gunner on the fucking punt team. I'm sorry, a lot of blame to go around, but THAT play? Fucking ridiculously stupid.

But to wonder aloud if we will ever know? I mean, really!?
Yes, Pete Carroll confirmed he made the final decision to pass, rather than run, on the second-and-goal play that resulted in an interception by Malcolm Butler of the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX. While offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell called the play, Carroll authorized it to catch the Patriots' goal-line defense off guard and manage the clock, notes ESPN.

Key Details of the Decision:
The Rationale: Carroll explained that the Patriots had a "goal-line" unit in, so he wanted to avoid running into a stacked defense on second down, planning to run on third or fourth down if the pass failed, says NFL.com.

Refuting Theories: Carroll denied reports that he changed the play from a designed run, states ESPN.

Accountability: Despite defending the logic, Carroll later termed it the "worst result of a call ever" and took full responsibility for the outcome, says NFL.com.

The decision remains one of the most debated in NFL history, largely because it meant not giving the ball to running back Marshawn Lynch on the 1-yard line, says CNN.
1. Pete said pass
2. Bevell called THAT pass play.
3. Pete OK'd THAT pass play.

Nor sure what's hard about this. Also? Fuck that play, fuck the cheating Patriots, and let's celebrate a fucking Super Bowl! This might not erase that memory, and we certainly wont' be celebrating it as long as we lamented the last one. But Damn, it sure felt good. That was three quarters of absolute embarrassment, and one quarter of just waiting for it to be over because? It had been over for hours! Loved every fucking minute of it.
