The Raiders requested Seahawks assistant Justin Outten for run-game coordinator but Seattle blocked the request, per sources

Brendan Nelson suggesting that Outten is likely our next OC, that be why they blocked it. would seem to be either him or Peetz. Like the idea of carrying forward as much as possible, though I'm sure it will still hurt losing Klint. Everybody praising him for that Barner catch play-call, designed to look just like all the other wide zone runs we ran. that was what they always say about McVay's genius play-calling - how every play looks the same to begin with formationally, makes it very hard for a defense to key on.
