Yeah, it seems interesting to have the reigning MVP and at the same time he's considering retirement.
Unusual for sure, but i think that was also the case about 4 years ago with Rodgers in his penultimate year in Green Bay.

Well, after the Rams won the Super Bowl, the word was McVey and Aaron Darnold were strongly considering retirement. Neither of them did, but it's not unprecedented. I betcha if not for us coming back from down 15 in the 4th? The Rams beat us in the NFCCG in LA, then win the Super Bowl, and Stafford rides off into the sunset. That fourth quarter, thank you Rasheed Shaheed, may well have extended Stafford's career!

#Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba told @JonahJavad that he believes he should be the NFL’s highest-paid WR, which would mean topping $40.25M per year — the current record held by Ja’Marr Chase.
JSN is eligible for an extension this offseason

After being hired as the raiders HC, raiders insist kubiak return to Seattle to attend the SB parade
And as to that focus that the Raiders liked so much in Kubiak, the day after the Super Bowl, after the new Vegas coach had gotten the lay of the land, he was headed back to his hotel with his family and preparing for a week full of staff building when Spytek made one last demand: He told Kubiak he had to go to the Seahawks parade. Kubiak initially didn’t want to lose the day of work. The GM said he’d never regret spending that Wednesday in Seattle

Have to cut it not resign a bunch cause of JSN and Spoon.

Who gets cut or not resigned. It will be a lot. So, next year is the window then it closes cause of the fist the next year fir spoon, JSN, and then Sam.

I bet we keep 1 of our FA class. Probably Jobe then rest will be cheaper FA. Not enough draft capital this year. Gotta pay spoon and JSN. So no FA this year. Too much cash to spend on those two.

Then the cuts begin the year after.

Listen to the actual quote. It softens it a little bit.

A million dollars is not what it used to be. The IRS takes a ridiculous amount of these kids' money.
They don't get to play the game and earn that much money for long. The Seahawks can 5th year option
JSN and not pay him much in 2026 and about 24 million in 2027 and then part ways. No hard feelings.
I still think he's a good kid.

Something has to give. Even with the cap going up.

Spoon will be talking next on getting his. JSN put this out there totally on purpose. He wants his cash. I get it. But a week ish after the Super Bowl he puts it out there. Not by accident.

Setting the stage. No big contracts coming for our FA.

I believe they can roll over some cap. So, JSN wanting this will affect us right now. They will want to roll cap over.

Saying this. Our window now is getting shorter. Just like all. But, for a minute I thought we may have a longer window.

They can all say team team team until they want their cash.

Yeah, but for 2026, we are still in great shape to win the fucking super bowl again. That's how I'm thinking, and I hope
that's how JS is thinking.

RW's contract cost the Broncos $53 mil last season and $32 mil this one and yet they were able to field a number one seed, it can be done
