And yet some fans don't want JS to pull the trigger on Maxx Crosby. Somehow you gotta counter that shit. They got better so you get better. Is Spoon better than McDuff. Gotta keep pace with those guys.
Rams #1 WR - Puka
Hawks #1 - JSN
Name me another superstar they have on offense besides old man Stafford. Again he's just ONE good hit away from being out for a significant length of time. Rams RBs & TEs aren't elite by any means but neither are ours. I'd say we're pretty much even there. Question is how do we get better than them. Gotta have a consistent pass rush. Does D-Hall do it for you. I don't know. Is he the next LT or Reggie White, probably not but time will tell. Is it worth it to mortgage a late 1st for an All-Pro pass rusher absolutely. Again were not gonna keep all our guys. The question will be what is Crosby's market & who can afford him. As far as I'm concerned you only pay a handful of guys top tier money. That includes an elite pass-rusher. Is Crosby worth the investment absolutely. I do like continuity but I also like kicking the holy shit out of the rest of the division, Rams in particular. Crosby does that for you. I know the cost. JS knows the cost. He ain't stupid. Sometimes the best move is the one you don't make. Are we even sure Sam is gonna be here long term. How do we know he's gonna duplicate what he did this past season. Again the offense does not run through him. We need an elite rushing attack. Sam don't have to be Mahomes or Lamar or Allen for us to win. Just don't throw picks that's all.
Rams are all in....

I'm happy to have Witherspoon.
Crosby would be a great addition, but word on the street is that the Raiders want two first-rounders.

I think Witherspoon is what they wanted Adams to be, it's what made him so valuable. For me that seemed to be where things began to fall apart, that failure. And I don't think it was just Pete. I think JS wanted him too, but remember the rumors about a conflict with how he was used. I just find it interesting, JSs involvement with the coaching.

Cowboys seem to be the front-runner for Crosby.
Recent reports have had the Las Vegas Raiders potentially trading Maxx Crosby this week. And with the end of this week approaching quickly, the offers have heated up. According to Trey Wingo, the Dallas Cowboys thought they were close to a deal to acquire the Pro Bowl edge rusher only to have other teams come in and potentially outbid them by offering two first round picks

Crosby is worth a late first, but the question is....is he worth that if the can't resign him? Obviously, the Rams are now in the same boat we were in with Adams. Kind of have to pay McDuffie. I think All Pro CBs are probably tougher to find than DEs. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems the depth we have on the D Line, especially if D Law comes back? Makes it easier for us to not over pay for a DE.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2026 9:18 pmAnd yet some fans don't want JS to pull the trigger on Maxx Crosby. He's worth what a particular GM will pay for him. Which I would've felt was a low first rounder. For some reason he seems more valuable than that. Is his contract team friendly?
Terms of DEs, as I understand it, MMs defense hasn't really featured elite DEs. The way he moves them around, the plays he runs, it's more flexibility than racking up impressive sack numbers. His elite players are his tackles. I've heard him asked about it. He replied, he likes talented players as much as anybody.

An explanation of the McDuffie trade, it's a shot to win the division next season
Last season, the Rams' defense was short of eyeballing the Seahawks', but now, that's changed. McDuffie isn't being overhyped, either.
The All-Pro corner went to three Super Bowls with the Chiefs in his four seasons there, winning two, and the first coming in his rookie season. McDuffie was All-Pro caliber from the get-go, and he's arguably the best, or at least, a top-three cornerback in the NFL today.
He is big-time, and as great as Devon Witherspoon is in Seattle, he's not quite McDuffie. Another reason why the Seahawks must address their cornerback situation is that the Rams trade has implications for next season's Super Bowl odds. The Seahawks were touted by many to make it back, if not repeat.
