If that isn't sarcasm which I am sure it is, then Randy is out of his mind. A Latin guy said it was sarcasm.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 9:55 pmI wish I could find a decent translation, I've gotten the impression he said a lot more than that lol

Yeah, I think there's a lot of cultural aspects to it, again I think it's funny but I'm not sure it can be explained as sarcasm or kidding. But honestly I've spent a chunk of my career working with Latinos. And real friends, spend time outside work together, know their families. And I can bring up multiple times taking it out to the sidewalk, going toe to toe. And then the next day have the arm around your neck same as always. Lou was that way. Whether Randy was actually upset doesn't really matter, it's going to be forgotten
Re: WBC Thread
Seems Cal was serious in the after game questions.
I’m sure it will be over later.

Interesting what RRS says about it. Especially about guys yucking it up at 1B after a guy hits a single or draws a walk.

“Just thinking about it, I hate that this is a thing,” he said, sitting in the clubhouse at Daikin Park. “I really don’t think this is a big deal, a big story. It shouldn’t be a thing. You know, I love Randy. I have all the respect for him and Team Mexico. I already reached out to him personally to talk with him. And obviously, when we’re back in Seattle, we’re family, we’re brothers, and I’ll do anything for him. I’ll do anything for our team to win. To me, it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
“But these games do matter. I think they’re important to each individual’s country. Emotions are running high. They’re not just exhibition games. These are super important. I have a responsibility to my teammates and my country to be locked in and focused each game and do everything I can to win. I’m here to win the World Baseball Classic for my country. I’m not too worried about this.”
