The WBC is contrived nonsense. Can't believe people pay any attention to it.
You could literally say that about any sport or league or tournament. How about the ridiculous in season NBA or Soccer tournaments. Same with the World cup or Olympics or how about the Premier League that doesn't even have a post season.
All it needs to do is beat spring training which ain't hard. Could you imagine the NFL allowing players to miss camp to play in a tournament? NFL camp is a little more serious
Injury risk is massively higher. Also the death of the pro bowl shows you how NFL players feel about exhibition games.

USA advances!
Inspite of the fact that the guy in charge of these things, DeRosa, had ZERO fucking clue how it worked. "Punched our ticket", what a dumbass. Not nearly enough being made of that, IMO. That is just dumb.
You must not be on X much. It was MASSIVE. It actually overtook handshakegate in terms of controversy. lol

I was thinking they really need to work on their skills as a team. ST always seemed more kicking it with the guys before the bell actually rings.

If fact I've heard it described that way. The real importance is the bonding. And I'll buy that, just that the numbers aren't that important

Numbers aren't important but if you listen to the Donovan interview today with Bob and Wyman you would know that they aren't just kickin it with the guys. Also do you think the pitching lab is just kicking it with the guys?

Randy posted multiple vids of guys from different country's teams goofy around together. He isn't letting it go. Trade him to the Rockies and put Brennen or Arroyo in LF.

Jim Leyland bonding with Barry Bonds at spring training. Spring training is laid back, I rest my case. Sorry if that man crush for Barry Bonds of yours is bruised lol
