Yeah, I can see that in terms of where someone is from. As a guy from a poor country the size of Manhattan, winning the WBC could be very important

Japan knocked out by Venezuela! Single-elimination baseball is wacky. I bet in a 7 game series, Japan wins in 5.

After USA beats DR tomorrow* it's shaping up to be USA vs Italian-USA for the championship, which will be a pretty dramatic finale.

*When Julio comes to bat, I predict Cal will refuse a fist-bump, then spring to his feet and give Julio a hug. It's all been leading up to this comical moment.
