Re: Woolen's Future (or lack thereof)
Given the lack of picks this year you think JS would of been a lil more aggressive addressing those needs. Riq I get, Mafe I get, but no Coby, Yeah K9 was an overpay & RB are a dime a dozen, nonetheless where are you gonna find the next great one. You ain't taking Love, you damn sure aren't trading for anybody, you only have a handful of picks in the draft. What about keeping everybody together. What good is having all that cap space if your not gonna use it. You've now locked in your WR core with Kupp, JSN, & Shaheed. You have your TEs set with Barner & Arroyo, you've got Darnold under center. The only other additions I see here are adding to the RB room & upgrading RG hopefully, I really do. I'd be real curious to see how JS & his team has his draft board laid out because if it's me it's gotta be OL 1st then pass-rush 2nd. People wanna put CB up there. If you get an absolute steal there by all means go for it otherwise it's those 2 positions.

well that cap space will look pretty good if they can land Hendrickson with it, big upgrade over Mafe. not broken up losing Coby, but am disappointed to lose K9 and see many potential replacements signing elsewhere (Etienne, Dowdle, Montgomery). Guess there's still Kamara and Rachad White. rumor has it K9 was never coming back because he didnt like the role-sharing in his contract year. If not Hendrickson i'd like to see Ebiketie or Klavon Chaisson. Also need another corner - maybe Coby Durant from the Rams? Zeitler still out there to provide depth/competition for Bradford, and a couple of tackles that could do the same for Lucas.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 3:46 amGiven the lack of picks this year you think JS would of been a lil more aggressive addressing those needs. We kept everyone together once before, and quickly went form the youngest and most talented team in the league to needing a missed 19 yard FG to winning first round playoff games, and didn't make another NFCCG until last year.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 3:46 amGiven the lack of picks this year you think JS would of been a lil more aggressive addressing those needs. Adding to the RB room presumes we have an RB room. We don't. And other than Love seems to be the RBs available are a worth about a nickel a dozen so we will definitely be saving a lot of money on RBs....HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 3:46 amGiven the lack of picks this year you think JS would of been a lil more aggressive addressing those needs. I was suspicious of the phrase "up to" 15 mil.
Turns out I was right. It's 12 mil. This is still way more than he's ever made before in one year, so good for Woolen.

Eagles already claiming to have the three best starting CBs in the NFL. I think Riq was better than many Hawk fans believed.

The guys got a ton of talent, it's an odd position to play in football. You're on an island, RS had some odd aspects to him as well. That the Eagles picked him up says something for me. They know defense, they also don't seem to mind rolling the dice on a guy. Again, that could be a good spot for him. I'd be happy to see him flourish, just not against the seahawksMichael K. wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2026 2:26 pmEagles already claiming to have the three best starting CBs in the NFL. He made some big penalties, and that is what pissed fans around here off. But not sure that meant the dude can't play. He seemed to lose the fear of tackling last year, and I thought besides a few plays here or there played very well. I'd have bene fine if they brought him back.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2026 10:58 pmThe guys got a ton of talent, it's an odd position to play in football. He had that shoulder issue, I can see that making one shy to tackle hard even if it's healed. Believe he was a pretty strong tackler his first season wasn't he?Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 2:15 pmHe made some big penalties, and that is what pissed fans around here off.
