Season win prediction contest
Re: Season win prediction contest
The RD was only 72 last season and we won 90 and the Pythag was 88-74. Those with RDs in the 90s are predicting the team will be pretty unlucky.

Red Sox won 89 games with a +110 RD Unlucky as hell
Indians won 88 games with a -6 RD Luckier than hell

Gilbert blows out his elbow in late April, Woo has recurring shoulder pain and can only make 20 starts , Miller's oblique injury drags on into June. Donovan and Young struggle to get their OPSs over .600. Hintz and Lumpkin get called up mid season due to a plague of bullpen injuries. Cal only hits 38 HRs and Julio's OPS hovers around .775 all season.

I am really struggling here. Do I want to see Salk and SH fall flat on their faces??? Of course I doSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 7:34 pmGilbert blows out his elbow in late April, Woo has recurring shoulder pain and can only make 20 starts , Miller's oblique injury drags on into June. In our honor of our first playoff appearance I'm going to go with 95 wins & an +88 run diffential. Bunch of negative nancys in here.

85-77 (+34)However, that means the M's suck and they blew it, so I am not in favor of that. 100-62 with an 97 run differential

Sure, it's still long shot odds but it doesn't seem unreasonable to hype them that way. It's not like some farfetched fantasy. This is the opportunity to hype themD-train wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 6:33 pmI know but things could not go well. Every team in that division taking a major step back, especially Houston with loss of Valdez. Bad division really. No reason Seattle shouldn't sweep through this division.
