Power in peoples hands is the ultimate goal, absolutely.

No bank, government or anything should have control or possession of our money.

We don't live in the old west anymore.

The argument against bitcoin has long been, what happens when the power goes out?

Now, no problem, just get out Grandpas old ham radio and tell me how your banking system is holding up to the EMP (or whatever) also.

Point is, where some people (naysayers) see obstacles, others see an obstacle course and provide solutions in spite of the "Yeah, but what if..." losers.

Bitcoin can't be stopped any longer. China already tried that. Then they failed and are now pushing to lead the industry in adopting blockchain.

I'm not sure how the Ham radios are going to mine the blocks, but losing power is no concern for me. I'm assuming we'll have power and internet. I'm also assuming there will not be a complete doomsday collapse. You figure the banks have a ton of resources, to they can both buy BTC as well as buy equipment to mine it. So, they won't be completely left out in the cold. And, there may be some banks that offer custodial username/password type services. Main thing for me with crypto is less ability for governments of the world to finance wars. I know people get patriotic, but the main reason people join the military is good money and good benefits. This is all based on my belief that wars are not fought for the greater good of the people, but rather for the benefit of the ruling elite. I could be wrong. The wars may be providing Americans with a better way of life, but even then, at whose expense? At this point, I would be thrilled to cut off the borrowing debt cycle that allows the governments to get the money first and use it to beef up their militaries and wage wars.

You are not wrong.

The ham radios won't mine obviously, but even if something happened, transferring bitcoin from one wallet to another can still be done using technology like ham radio.

Just plugging one more hole in peoples natural objection to bitcoin.

Hey listen, anybody is entitled to their opinion, including fans. Just because she doesn't always like what we have to say doesnt mean shes right, as is the case when she balled us out last midseason for suggesting an Omar Narvaez trade as being our best outcome.

Just because she's on the front lines doesn't mean she has a grasp on what's going on any more than she did about Narvaez being a building block. That's what she needs to understand. Since she wants to talk about understanding and all.

Divish is the same. It is like they are Omniscient Gods and fans are little children that come to them for crumbs of knowledge and we should just accept the crumbs and not question anything or get the wrath.

Yes absolutely, don't question thine!

Churchill and Cameron are 10x worse as aad as that is.

Drayer and Divish I still thoroughly enjoy. Those other two are assclowns.

An interesting use case for cryptocurrency.

-NBA player gets a rich contract.
-NBA player tokenizes said contract
-Sells token similar to bond
-Turns future value into present value
-Invests present value that he believes will earn more interest than he's paying

OT: Transmission of Bitcoin over Ham Radio successfully completed.

World changing technology continuing to improve 10 years on.

Nice to see the dip into the $6k's came about a couple weeks back. I wouldn't short it from here, personally.
Unfortunately I don't think we will see Bitcoin in the $6,000's again, ever, in the same way that it wasn't going back to $3,000 when it went to 6. The floor has been reestablished and it bounced pretty hard from there. The momentum may slow, ironically enough, only if Trumps tariffs do as he very quietly claimed, much to our surprise, and begin to eat away at the national debt. Otherwise I think we all know this economy is not all about jobs and GDP. Pointing at A doesn't make B go away. There is no backup plan and the chances of Trumps tariffs eroding the trillions in debt seems highly unlikely.

I hope you guys did your families a favor and bought some $btc when it dipped back into the $6k's like that one guy implored you. Forget his name. Handsome fella.. I remember that much.
