Pretty much everyone sees this except Pete Carroll.

About time a few posters in here remind Russ that if Pete dont do it then it ain't right!
I love this from Russ. Don't pay Dan Marino and treat him like Dan McGwire. The refusal to use tempo ever...unless down multiple scores is flat out stubborn
I also love that Duanne Brown commented. I love Dave Wyman, but listening to him defense Pete tooth and nail has grown tiresome. Especially his BS about how lineman hate Pass Blocking. How is falling behind three scores helping that?

Fair points. It used to be the case, if I recall correctly, when the Hawks would go up tempo if they fell behind by more than one possession. When our defense is stout it doesn't happen all that often. And even this season the Hawks didn't fall behind big very often with a weaker defense. Maybe it's just a shock and awe factor?
That first season with Pete we were snowed under in the Divisional playoffs at Chicago. Atlanta put us in a deep hole in the divisional a couple of years later. There was that divisional in Carolina. This latest example, another divisional opponent, again on the road. Maybe it's playing on the road in the divisional round of the playoffs that's the problem?
You know, even with that Super Bowl loss to the Patriots... it was a stubborn refusal to break from the game plan. That works with a dominate defense, but we have an team now that's lead by the offense. There should be an adjustment.
I don't like Russ talking about the need for more guys. He had a decent line. He had one of the best RB groups in the league before they all sh*t the bead. And the Seahawk receiving group, especially if we can get that Dissly guy back, is one of the better young air attacks in the league. It's on the defensive side that we need to add players. And to be honest there, that means subtracting some of the guys we have and replacing them with younger talent.
