I want to believe him. If you were an ex-major-leaguer why wouldn't you be proud to give out your name? We of the forum would understand what a hell of an accomplishment that was. Of course we would "baseball reference" him. Or is it that he had one AB and struck out weakly?

Re: Black Sabbath Game thread
Sheesh, if I were Paxton in the summer, had his big bucks, could shine for 5-6 outings during the season to keep my status, knew I'd never contest for the Hall of Fame, my injury didn't limit my golf swing, I'd be finding reasons to play golf, too. New York/Long Island have some pretty good courses.Hy Feiber wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 6:00 amToday’s starters are geniuses if they go 6 innings.D-train wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 9:51 pmAaron Boone apparently doesn't know Paxton very well.......
The Yankees hope to have James Paxton back in the rotation this week, but Aaron Boone acknowledged Sunday the left-hander may have to deal with discomfort the rest of the season. Its almost June and he has thrown less than 40 innings. He might not even hit 100 this season.“I don’t know,” Boone said when asked if Paxton would be able to get rid of the soreness near his MCL that sent him to the injured list. “We’ll see. We hope it’s something that when he comes back and is pitching, it’s something that continues to improve over time. There is the possibility it could be one of those things he’s got to grind through.”

You forgot Somebody's Son. Not to mention Richlandman, and Acctingman.D-train wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 4:12 pmThe only two that didn't come over are crappy pants and the pretend ex major leaguer so we are good on that front. We are very ungood otherwise.Logainismyhero wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 12:10 amIs this forum semi dead because the M's suck worse than a $2 h0 with braces or that quite a few people from the times didn't migrate over, or both?

I'm pretty sure she has no interest in sports, so why would why join this forum? Besides, she's too busy clearing spam off a forum that nobody uses any more.

I found richlandman annoying. He only showed up when the M's lost. Acctingman wasn't as bad....think he just let the losing get to him.
Re: Black Sabbath Game thread
Actually it was refreshing to see the Richland guy posting positive comments during the 13-2 run.Logainismyhero wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 1:06 amI found richlandman annoying. He only showed up when the M's lost. Acctingman wasn't as bad....think he just let the losing get to him.

I think we all turned positive during the 13-2 run. It was good times. It was the best of times. It is in the rear view mirror.
