Our biggest issue is the bats are pretty shitty, and a bit reason for that is our idiot FO believes that a bunch of mediocre platoon guys are better than every day players.
Game 7 in October
Julio
Cal
Josh
Polanco
Randy
Suarez
Crawford
Rivas
Robles
Even with Rivas and Robles that is better than just about every lineup we run out there now.
Julio has a much better start than usual, but he was still better at the end of last year.
Cal last year was Johny Bench and now looks like he should be on the bench
Naylor was head and shoulders better last year
Polanco is out performing what ever we put there this year, and was better than Cole is now.
Arrozarena is better this year, good for us.
Suarez is a middle of the order bat that pitchers worry about. Does anyone worry about our 6 hitter?
Crawford is Crawford
They saved money, they do it every year. Last year they struck gold at the deadline. Maybe we can strike Gold twice in two years? It seems more likely to me that we end up like most every other year and are on the outside looking in, and a big reason would be a shitty start when this bullshit of "that's just baseball" is fucked up. It's not just baseball, it's just a flawed roster.

Raley hits sixth, I would think a .901 ops is fairly scary isn't it? The issue isn't a bunch of mediocre platoon guys, it's platooning him in the first place isn't it?

Seems like the Mariners have… struggles after scoring 10 or more runs under Dan.

So the Mariners need to lay off the add on...
I haven't been following the ESPN power rankings this season. They just replaced the Dodgers at number one with the Braves. That seems like an accomplishment. They have the Mariners 9th. That was kinda surprising to me. But I guess there's a lot of mediocre teams these days. The AL seems to be getting farther behind the NL
