Arkansas could be flush with talent right now. Stevenson should be up there doing the catching with Celesten at SS. At what point do we see Laz in Tacoma. Seriously. How much of a sample size do you need. Eike crushing it for Everett too. A .974 OPS for a 24 year old in high A seriously. What's going on with Farmelo. Are there concerns we don't know about.

Here is a blast from past:

Edwin Arroyo took Jose Urquidy deep in the first inning for his ninth home run of the season. It also gives him 30 RBI to go along with a .348 batting average and a 1.025 OPS. Oh, and those two steals also give him seven on the season. It may seem like Arroyo has been around a while because he was a major part of the Luis Castillo trade four years ago, but Arroyo is just 22 years old. His time in Cincinnati is coming very soon.

It's nice to see what he can do when he can finally stay on the field. If he keeps this up, he'll be a top 20 prospect, maybe top 10, by the end of the season.
Absolutely. Absurd that he isn't even in the top 100 by the major services right now and Sloan is 22. With Sloan I think it is another case of, "He's Big so he fits the model SP" Kind of the antithesis of Laz getting punished for being big and type cast into a DH only role.

I am sure Celesten will move up once his current production is incorporated into the rankings. They are always super slow to do that.
Sloan is rated just fine. You're just obsessed with small sample sizes.
His CAREER ERA is over 4 and his WHIP is 1.24. Should I use a larger sample by incorporating his HS stats?

Farmelo has been hitting better .291/.864 in May but he's a bit behind the others due to his injuries. 21 yo still in A ball. I guess Stevenson is as well though. He has struggled in May. .190/.775

Felnin with a single and a HR last night running his hitting streak to 23 games. Now at .346/.970

For reference Colt was only at .281/.842 in Everett. Speaking of Colt who everyone on X anointed a 1st ballot HOFer after he hit the HR and could not understand how he could have a high 27% K rate in AAA, he is now 1 for 8 with 3 Ks in 10 PAs (30% K rate) .300 OBP which would be .200 if he didn't get plunked one time.

this is ESPN, I guess they have their own list. They moved Emerson up their prospect list
3. Colt Emerson, SS, Seattle Mariners (Previous: 6)

Emerson hit a homer in his second big league game and seems to be auditioning to take the every-day shortstop role next season after J.P. Crawford hits free agency.

He may not have a true plus tool, but Emerson is above average at almost everything while still being younger than almost every top collegiate prospect in the 2026 MLB draft

imo if a guy has graduated an is so great, why would he ever be demoted so why would he still be regarded as a prospect.

So he is off to a 1-11 start with a 36% K rate so lets move him up to #6. lol

On Emerson, I think the expectation should be similar to Cole Young last year except at a more critical defensive position. He'll play good defense, run the bases smartly and competently, and probably won't make many mental errors. But the bat is the same bat that was challenged at the AAA level. He wasn't overwhelmed there, and I don't think he will be at the ML level either, but nobody should expect a plus offensive player. I'll be happy if he ends the year anywhere in the range of 90 to 100 OPS+. And with JP all of a sudden open to playing 3rd, this should be a much improved defensive team.

I agree. Very reasonable expectation but I can assure you that the general consensus on X is that a #6 overall prospect is going to be an above average hitter on day one. I think there are going to be a lot of disappointed fans....
