The most embarrassing thing of all is that we let Stephen Vogt go to the Guardians where he kicked ass and took names while it was clear for years that Servias was out of his depth.
Then they realized he was over his skis, fired his ass and just handed the guy to another yes man because one time he played for the team and they figured it would make the fans happy enough to buy tickets. This organization is a fucking clown car.

Scott Spiezio also once played for the Mariners. But I wouldn't trust him to manage a wet dream.

Neither of these guys could manage a two-car funeral without losing the hearse, impregnating the corpse and accidentally marrying the widow.

OMG, that is awesome! Not sure if it is funny because it's true or just funny!?

I'd take Scott Servais back in a heartbeat now and ask forgiveness from the Almighty for thinking I deserved something better.

Maybe they'll fire Dan and replace him with AI as a cost-cutting move...

Knowing them, they would roll with AUI (Artificial Unintelligence) to go against conventional wisdom and to save even more money.

That would be the most Mariners thing ever: admit the manager is bad, then hand the job to a glorified calculator. We'll replace actual incompetence with artificial incompetence. Same results, but with 100% more spreadsheets!

Why not? Let’s give the keys to a robot that’s never been drunk, chewed tobacco or adjusted a cup, been brushed off the plate by 98 mph 2-seamer, never thrown a tantrum, and has the baseball IQ of a Roomba. Couldn't be worse than Wilson. Or Servias. Or a TI-99.

I think they put Dan in a very difficult position with the Miller/Castillo piggyback plan. He's trying to be a team player but probably didn't fully buy in to the front office's concept of how to manage the situation.
