NFL free agents
Re: NFL free agents
Falcons won't pick up Beasley. Is he our guy? Out of any of the names mentioned he's the best fit. And I don't think he can command the kind of contract as Ngakoue or Barrett.
Played in Dan Quinn's D . Length , some coverage skills. Him and Clowney would be pretty sweet.

Re: NFL free agents
article doesnt say why they are moving on from Beasley, other than inconsistency. are they cap-strapped? 6 sacks in second half sounds enticing, so why not tender him, especially with McKinley having a bad shoulder. I'm intrigued, remember salivating over him at the combine, but seems suspicious.

Cap strapped.. They are literally over the salary cap.57reasons wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 4:59 amarticle doesnt say why they are moving on from Beasley, other than inconsistency. are they cap-strapped? 6 sacks in second half sounds enticing, so why not tender him, especially with McKinley having a bad shoulder. Re: NFL free agents
cool - now he is the twitchy SPARQy type that Hawks brass supposedly favors (up until LJ Collier that is). and i think you're right - Jefferson/Greene combo should be adequate as the base end opposite JC, really need more of a speed rushing DPR. and a true inside rusher like Chris Jones (hope on, hope ever). not sure we can count on Reed at this point.ThePro wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 5:45 amCap strapped.. Re: NFL free agents
No. At the LEO opposite Clowney. It would be Clowney, Ford, Reed and Beasley in your base 4-3 . Need to replace KJ . Bud Dupree would be perfect. Unless they have another draft pick up their sleeve. Not a chance at Chris Jones. Reed will be fine.57reasons wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 6:13 am

Re: NFL free agents
but is Beasley an every-down player or rotate out on first down except with a lead? i saw enough out of Jefferson and Greene this year to like them on run downs, and occasional rotation.ThePro wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 7:26 amNo. At the LEO opposite Clowney. A lot of good candidates for our next Avril/Bennett type addition: Barrett and Fowler likely too steep, Dupree possibly as well, but that still leaves Beasley, Robert Quinn, Mario Addison and maybe Shaq Lawson all likely cheap enough to re-sign Clowney at $20M+.

We have 70 mill to play with & your worried about someone being too steep.57reasons wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 5:38 ambut is Beasley an every-down player or rotate out on first down except with a lead? i saw enough out of Jefferson and Greene this year to like them on run downs, and occasional rotation.ThePro wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 7:26 amNo. At the LEO opposite Clowney. Re: NFL free agents
what can I say, I'm an accountant. seriously, just want to add as many good pieces as possible. Another possible target: Connor McGovern, standout C/G from Denver, age 27. Could play G for one year in place of either the chronically hurt Iupati/Fluker, then upgrade Britt when he walks in FA (not worth another veteran contract). Not a huge priority given the depth of good Centers in the draft, but it frees up the pick to address another position. And solidifying the middle against the likes of Donald and Buckner 4 times a year - Russell wouldnt know what to do with himself!HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 6:17 am

Re: NFL free agents
Draft is definitely the way to go for O line. This year is outstanding.. I want Biadasz . Been watching that dude past few years. He is a difference maker. The real deal. Becton is s pipe dream but I thought DK was going in the top ten last year too.
Re: NFL free agents
still like Biadasz over Ruiz? have heard Ruiz talked up more lately, and is bigger, which seems to be a factor for Solari. course you arent Solari, so that might be moot.
